Cancer is being "cured" every day...but you make a good point. Quit funding research and allow successful R&D Bio-Research Bid'nesses enjoy the fruits of their labor...those Socialists who propose Windfall profit taxes on Corporations spending $Billions on Cancer Research are really Pro-Cancer!!

Yup. I think Milton Friedman originally came up with the idea. Rather than give $1 billion to the American Cancer Society, offer a $1 billion reward to whoever comes up with a cure (however defined). Fund results, not endless research.
The same could be done with the space program and some defense projects.
Not counting the Gulf War, of course.
I believe in our military to the max. Especially our Marines and special forces. IF our government would let the military WIN wars instead of the politicians playing GI Joe from Washington DC..... Osama and his ilk would have been dead years ago, when the last WTC bombing occurred.
Our country could have taken lessons from Israel after their raid on Entebbe. They did not mess around voting on how much money to spend, they did not degrade their army with inferior machines and guns.
I think a bounty on the head of Osama is a good idea. The government is offing a reward for those that help us find him and lead us to him. Why not a civilian outcry and bounty on Osama as well. Like a double whammy.

Osama and his terrorists did NOT just go after our military in an ongoing war, they came "in country" and mass murdered innocent people as they went along their daily lives." Not hundreds, but thousands.
The terrorists need a STRONG answer back. One of such GREAT unity and power behind it that they will know they are the walking dead just waiting for their last breath to be taken. They say they do not mind dying and that Americans are weak and too comfortable in their lifestyles.
BUT they have NOT read history. They need to learn of our Revolutionary War, of our coming to America against all odds, of the covered wagons crossing this great land and even how the women fought for survival along side their men.
They need to learn how America fought in ALL the wars whether popular ones or not. How fierce we are and loyal to our country. That even with all the things wrong with it ... it is the best darn country in the entire world.
They need to LEARN it , KNOW it and they are soon going to EXPERIENCE IT FIRST HAND !
Yes, we should have a bounty on Osama. Not to take away from our Warriors and our wonderful men and women in our military,…. NO…. but as an added statement of anger and strength and unity. One Nation under God, ONE Flag, ONE language, ONE unbelievable unifying strength and stronghold against Terrorists in the world.
I have thought a lot about this. Even before I saw this thread. This IS a new kind of war. It is NOT a war between nations because these terrorists are being found all over the place. It is a war of countries and their people against an evil that lives in the souls of these terrorists. So it is nations joining as one force against a GANG. And this gang has to be eradicated wherever it is found. Not just the stringers, the hangers on, but the HEAD of the snake as well. The full body of the snake that is winding itself like a serpent into every street, in banks and businesses , in residential areas and killing the Freedoms our Warriors our military have fought so hard to get for us and keep for us.
My vote is yes, but as something along with our military as an added force of unity. Not to have it stand alone like a mercenary. Our military is highly trained, trained killers thank GOD, if allowed to do what they need to best. They are warriors and heroes every one of them and I think if presented right they would love to know we join them in a bounty for their and our enemies.
