NEW YORK (AP) -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton warned business leaders on Monday that all the money flowing to victims of the World Trade Center is leaving other charities short on cash.
"Many of the ongoing services and charitable needs for the homeless, for AIDS victims, for after-school programs, are beginning to feel a real crunch," Clinton said at a "Crain's New York Business" breakfast.

"Many of the ongoing services and charitable needs for the homeless, for AIDS victims, for after-school programs, are beginning to feel a real crunch," Those are primarily liberal GOVERNMENT-funded programs.

I guess that the donations to her & Bubba's favorite charity (themselves) has dried up.
How is Bill going to pay for his appeal to the SCOTUS, if people keep giving to the Red Cross?

What she REALLY means is that donations to the William J. CLinton Presidential Library have dried up in the past month. Even her Hollywood friends have been giving to the Red Cross and the Twin Towers Fund instead of Billy's library, and if he doesn't get that library, he's NEVER gonna leave New York.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton warned business leaders on Monday that all the money flowing to victims of the World Trade Center is leaving other charities short on cash. Yeah .. like the CLINTON LEGAL DEFENSE FIND!!
To: Geronimo
"I've had a number of people call and tell me they are getting notes from corporations and individuals who are usual steady donors saying, 'I can't give as much this year,' or 'I can't give at all this year because I've given everything to the funds for Sept. 11,"' Clinton said.
Ummm, the DNC?
To: Geronimo
"That is a potential crisis that were going to have to confront as well," Definition of misplaced priorities: When an organization that relies on the generosity of others uses this pompous @ss to make the claim that a decline in contributions is a "crisis."

Her behavior has been outright appalling throughout this whole terrible episode. Now she is calling for money for her liberal special interest groups instead of the victims of the WTC attack? She should be re-called as soon as possible.

She did not identify the charities that had been in contact with her. Maybe because no charities did contact her?

Sounds like Clinton should get behind Bush's faith based initiative.

Is she really that stupid?
To: Dog
Despicable....she's absolutely despicable. Furthermore, she has no concept of how charity works. I can understand that coming from a woman who thinks donating a few pair of underwear to the Goodwill for the IRS writeoff, is charity.

Senator Clinton used taxpayers money to tour the world picking up cash for her self and her husband. She never gave a thought to any of the DC children as she passed by the failing schools in her limo. She is a selfish elitist that speaks empty words and looks down on the common man. She is a fake.
To: Henry F. Bowman
Exactly. She's treating lower Manhattan as if it was the Mississippi Delta. Manhattan will rise like a phoenix - thanks to the industry and intelligence of New Yorkers (with the solid exception of voting for HER). She has no gut instincts about New York or its citizens and therefore is always glomming on to the wrong solutions...If she had any smarts, she would quietly study Rudy or even Schumer for their responses and attitudes. But, no then she would have to suppress her ego and admit she is not the smartest woman in the universe.
