I saw that same crap this afternoon, "We don't want to make them mad, blah, blah". I had to turn the channel to FOX so I could watch some REAL experts talk about how we are going to win this thing.
I propose to get the bad guys.
Among the Afghans, those responsible.
Applies, however, also to the perps from other regions; most of the perps are from outside of Afghanistan; almost all the money is; nearly 100 % of the intel operations are.
And I would prepare for war --- something the U.S.A. is NOT doing.
There will be NO sanctuaries. Not inside Afghanistan. Nor outside Afghanistan.
Confessors get their chance with immediate termination upon parole violation, without regard to collateral anything.
I expect the bad guys to do everything to hide behind women and children and the innocent as well as the misled.
We do our best to get the best intel, so that we hit the perps. That is how we minimize the damage to others; NOT, by avoiding our duty.
This war is against the evil which misleads people, which misled Germans, which misled Italians, which misled French to betray their neighbors ... during World War II.
Now, with the decades - long help by socialists' building the world - wide terrorist network, that monster has re-created on its own. The terror again has such a grip, that many more nations and regions than should, are equivocating. That tells you how bad it is; how many have lost the courage of individual responsibility.
I'm going to hold some socialists accountable. In particular, because their lust for centralized power, parallels that of the religious frauds who use that exact same power to mislead people into thinking they're earning God's favor ... when they should be desiring his love.
This is NOT a religious war.
It is, however, a war against false prophets, who rob people of that love, by blinding them to the gift of asking forgiveness before God, and which false prophets also seek to supplant mankind's free will to seek God, with the "care" of a false state.
If you can find one believer in Islam, who would ask forgiveness and resist the perps who slaughtered thousands on Sept. 11th, than Islam is not to blame. And likewise, not Judaism, nor Christianity, nor any other religion of God, is to blame.
Rather: Lust is to blame; vanity is to blame.
The perps could have used their remarkable resources to feed, clothe and shelter the very people such false "leaders" profess to be representing "solidly."
So much for "policy makers."
This is not a war against "hate crimes." That pile of straw is a deception; plain and simple; should we care to note.
It is a war against corruption, which is the most insidious and widespread of the traits of the false prophets.
We are at war against corruption.
If 57-year old women with a shaky ticker were allowed to enlist in the military, I'd be there tomorrow. The only way I've been able to contribute is with money (can't even donate blood since 1991).

These people will stop when they understand that attacking us will only bring the destruction of themselves and everything they SAY they are fighting for.

Now Bill O'Reilly makes Chis look like a cross between a liberal democrat (which he always has been) and the tooth fairy.
I have to laugh when Matthews tries to give that tough look and says "we will be right back with HARDBALL"
O'Reilly doesn't need the silly tightened jaw and the tough title to let people know what he is all about.
The whole point of relooking at the Indian Wars is how successful it is to cut off support for any irregular forces. The British Army did this to counter the Bohrs, and the howl from the camps brought the Bohrs to the peace table.
Anyone can bomb the hell out of anything and any body, but the point of a real war to to make the real enemies of civilization never think of war in their lifetime. When a warrior is thinking about his wife, sister, mother, cousins, or other relatives in detention camps, they not only get careless, but they are sure not going to be able to hide amongst the civilian populous.
Give the average Afghani all the UN relief food that they can eat, but only if they stay behind the wire to keep getting it. If the taliban want to attack their own people in the encampments, then the Afghani people will see who the real enemies of Islam really are.
The elimination of safe havens is the only way to run these turds to ground. And, you let it be known that surrender is unconditional,
AND, with NO PRISONERS. T.E. Lawrence knew how to fight in an irregular fashion.

You have to excuse we boys when we get into our little discussions about playing war and such. I hope that you read my lines carefully and see that I have always voiced my comments toward the very small few extremists who, like the street-scum of this country, can only do drive-by shootings.
Rather than your money being needed for this just cause, might I suggest that we follow the Scriptural admonition to pray for all of those that the Lord has put in positions of authority over us. That we should encourage everyone that Free Speech also carries with it responsibilities of those words. But, that we should also remember that we are to always protect those that are innocent among us, including the innocent Afghani citizens that these vermin are hiding amongst.
While we should not target any innocent civilians, anything and everyone around a military position or piece of equipment is NOT a civilian and should be considered stale toast.
I should sometimes remember that my being from the South may seem a little crude to the sensibilities of those gentler creatures from those States responsible for the War of Northern Aggression, but, not all Yankees are filthy Carpet-baggers and rapists. Likewise, not all Muslims are extremists and terrorists.
Please remember all of us in your prayers, and, this 51 year old does not have to enlist in order to get his licks in when the time is right and proper. The South produced a real righteous general that knew how to fight with irregular tactics, Nathan Bedford Forrest. Now, this man could make the Yankee Army squeal. There are a few good men out there still.

Believe me, my husband and I have been praying for President Bush, VP Cheney, their staffs and their families every night since before the election, and have increased our prayers for them since. We have a son-in-law in the USMC stationed at the Pentagon - he was one of the duty officers on the day of the attack. We have increased our prayers for him and for all of the brave young men and women who will be going into harm's way.
My point was that I wish there were more that we "seasoned citizens" could do in a tangible way, besides donating blood and contributing dollars and offering prayers, in order to help the effort.
Keep up the faith, have a glass of water ready for the next stranger, and God will take care of everything in His time.
