Personally, I believe anyone who is "prophesying" in this day and time is either an ignoramus concerning the bible, or is decieved, or is a deciever himself, and I don't give any credibility to the "prophecies" of either one.

I understand your trepidation here, but how then do you interpret Acts 2:17-21. Also there WILL be two prophets of God during the tribulation. Revelation is clear on that. I understand it also to mean that God's prophets are 100% correct. But how will we know if we refuse to listen?

I agree, obviously with The Bible, that great deception will be abroad in the land.

I see no reason to throw out the authentic with the counterfeit, however.

Otherwise, the enemy wins. He Loves to counterfeit--lacking creativity--it's an excellent deception strategy. He thereby seduces folk to believe a lie and to run from the truth.

Paul exhorted ALL NT era (ours) believers to seek to prophesy. He must have had a very Biblical, God-ordained reason.

I think the notion that God quit speaking to man when John The Revelator "ran out of ink" is not a Biblical idea. . . and also, not very logical. Christ died that we might have dialogue with The Father. Christ said my "sheep know my VOICE." Sounds like two way communication, to me.
