Devastating attacks on bases controlled by Osama bin Laden are set to be launched in the next 48 hours as part of a tightly focused military operation approved by US President George Bush and backed by Britain.
The strategy, which is a victory for pragmatists in both Britain and America, is designed to kill bin Laden and his forces, and will be launched in tandem with strikes against air and ground forces of the Taliban regime supporting him.
The operation, which British and US sources say could be launched as early as today, would begin with air and missile strikes to destroy the Taliban's 20-aircraft air force, remove anti-aircraft missile batteries, and destroy Taliban tanks and other armour.
In a clear sign that strikes were imminent, Bush declared last night, after a meeting with military advisers at Camp David: 'America will act deliberately and decisively, and the cause of freedom will prevail.' MORE HERE
Well, I sorta doubt they are really that naive. Any movement of heroin stores is likely by the drug lords in order to save their inventory -- it has nothing to do with destabilising anyone. Any other product would be treated the same way -- try to ship it to safe harbor.
I would discount this article entirely. It is apparently NOT written by anyone close to being a military authority.
Yea and I remember just a few days ago the administration swore that there would not be such an attack. The only thing we can count on right now is dis-information. I would rather they just keep silent then to flood us with conflicting story's. It gets hard to trust those who keep lying to you. Don't count the national ID card out just yet.
The final view from the terrorist camps.
This was leaked for a reason. We do it all the time as part of strategy.

Perhaps you could tell us what national security position you hold at the present time.
Stop supporting the desimination of military information. If the government wants to propagandize, let them handle it.
I caught that, and was confused for a moment because the AC-130 is also know as Spooky II.
Ah, they do this through leaks like the above article. I've also read that attacks won't occur for weeks. Keeps everyone off balance.
Stop supporting the desimination of military information. If the government wants to propagandize, let them handle it.
Give me a break there are no specific targets being announced here; no specific troop movements; just another, of the many Hey Osama, we are coming, look behind you!
Anyways if you think that Osamas gang has forgotten that our President himself said, in front of the entire world, that we would hunt down our enemy, and Im the one that is reminding him your just being silly.
Sorry but it was your accusation that I support the dissemination of military information to our enemy that got to me.
So you feel this isn't of military significance? Look Eric, we have no need to know this. We have no need to know exact troops movements or time tables. For us to speculate about the validity of information and post it here to make it look like we're really important because we can colate all the data is simple self serving. To error on the side of our troops safety makes more sense than erroring on the side of prividing as much information as possible to our enemies.
There is no reason for us to post this and plenty of reasons not to.
