People are buying guns "for the children"(s) protection. I guess, good parents don't want their kids blown up by terrorists. Now if they can just cut off their kids supply of leftist propaganda in the schools, there may be hope for this countries future.
"A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." - Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
Thank you for flying Liberty Airlines.
Have a safe flight!

Oh, is this why I bought so much .357 ammo this week? Arming myself just seemed like the right thing to do. The media that claims that we are safer if we are helpless are sure looking like fools lately.
To: TERMINATTOR
I just want to know where I should be investing to ride this wave of new-found self-defense?

( OK, I always thought they looked foolish, but... )
I view this as a common-sense reaction to a threat. Most of the media tries to portray it as "panic buying," but I think most Americans see right thru that little semantic hustle.

I didn't need a gun today, but I bought a case of shotgun shells to shoot them mean ole skeets.
I have a skeet range in my basement along side my rifle and pistol range.
No wait!
I have no basement. I must be using that wonderful
Rifle and Pistol Club range near me. ;-)

I'm very happy to hear about all the gun sales... let's also hope these folks get some good training -- so they can hit what they aim at.

I really would have liked to see President Bush call on all Americans to be alert and vigilant for suspicious behavior, and in the event that law enforcement is not available in a timely manner to do what was necessary to protect the country's infrastructure and citizens.
Oh well, I can dream can't I? ;-)

People are buying gunsGot it down to two either a Glock 17 or Beretta 92, I am leaning towards the Beretta, comments and advice welcomed.

I may go diving for all those guns, I lost in the flood of '27.

While I admire the author's optimism, I got money that says the ASD (Anti-self defense) crowd's agenda is hardly phased by the events of the past two weeks. Before the year is out they'll be backing major registration/disarmament legislation in Congress.
One "Terrorist" shooting somewhere in the US of A and they'll be on CNN for half the day pushing their 'solution'.

It is too bad that 6000 more people had to die for these fools to wake up regarding their Constitutional rights. Now if we can get them to handle these weapons safely and responsibly.... p.s. I've been reading F.R. for a long time and FINALLY signed up. Great news source!

I loading up on stock in the first company that comes out with an anti-jihadist-pork round! I don't believe in that 70 virgins BS, buy why take chances? I'd like to make sure that any jihadists I might shoot, go straight to hell non-stop, without diddling around with their 70 virgins.

I was armed when being armed wasn't cool!

When I were a lad, my dad built me a bullet trap and I used to shoot .22 shorts in our basement. I have a great dad.

From the article: "I'm not exactly sure how the pilots would both fend off hijackers with a firearm and fly the plane ..."
Two pilots (and an auto-pilot) and one airplane ...
You do the math.
Just exactly what are the co-pilot's duties during a hijacker's attempt to enter the cockpit? Dial 9-1-1 ?

I have fired both. They are both exellent weapons. Both are used by police and the military Both are 9mm so no shortage of ammo. I own a Glock 17 so I am partial to Glocks.
Get a Glock :)

80% of law enforcement officers in U.S. carry Glocks, that should tell you something. I carry a Glock 22C. Glocks are dependable, easy to care for, accurate, and will last three life times.
