Dear Sarah - A letter by a Civil War Soldier about to Die posted here on FR is where you can listen/download "The Sullivan Ballou Letter" (Reply #91) or just the hauntingly beautiful instrumental song "Ashokan Farewell" (Reply #114), both from the PBS Series "The Civil War", by Ken Burns.
That letter to Sarah makes me sob--and I've done so much of that in the past two weeks.
I was very deeply stirred to hear the Kate Smith Rendition of 'God Bless America', as well as all the other Classic American Songs.
Thank you once again.
