I know, we have many military, police officers, EMS Workers and Firefighters who are on these threads. On behalf of my family, friends and all the people I know in the area of Ground Zero, I want to take the opportunity to thank all of you for your excellent services, sensitivity and sacrifices from the bottom of our hearts.
You've been so unbelievably helpful and supportive working long hours and being in conditions that one's imagination cannot ever envision.
God Bless You and I cannot express the measure of our gratitude for your outstanding service.

I like the label "Ground Hero" better than "Ground Zero". Yes, they are all heroes....but what's left is Zero....it's unbelievable....you cannot imagine.

Those steelworkers have been in my prayers from the moment they began the cleanup. If someone can post that picture of the angel sitting next to the fireman giving him comfort please do so. I've got it by email but am unable to post it.

I would like to personally say Thank You to all
those who have taken part in the rescue efforts and cleanup
of the WTC, Pentagon and PA crash sites.
And Thank You to all who helped support these people by donating supplies, food, etc.
And Thank You to all who pray for these individuals.

Unfortunately, I can not only imagine, I have seen it with my own eyes for too long. My fiance works at #1 Chase Plaza next to what was the WTC. She is so shaken by working there that I have to ride the subway downtown from my midtown office every day to pick her up from work and bring her to our apartment near Ground Hero. Everyday she has been at work, fire alarms are set off by the dust and smoke from Ground Hero that seeps into her building which really rattles her nerves. The smell is horrible when I pick her up.

That's very thoughtful. I'm in Michigan and only work as an LEO part-time now, but I did volunteer a shift with U.S. Customs at the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel checking cars coming across. Those poor guys are working six 12-hour days a week to step up investigations and still keep the traffic flowing. All our Border Patrol and Customs agents can really use your prayers.

My sympathies go out to the victims of this brutal attack, and the approximately 200,000 Americans that no longer have jobs or paychecks.
