I know there have been a number of cautions posted about people showing up in DC tomorrow, and you have to decide for yourself. But my feeling is that, just as we should not cower from potential terrorist threats, we should never be afraid to come to OUR Nation's Capitol.

Sept. 29th, Saturday, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Washington DC

Voter March will have a solidarity rally in Wash DC, at the East Front U.S. Capitol Steps, directly across from the U.S. Supreme Court on Saturday, September 29th. We will gather at 5pm with speakers, and as darkness comes it will become a Candlelight vigil showing solidarity with victims of the September 11th tragedy and their families and friends.

Les Souci will be the Grand Marshall for the East Front Capitol steps and volunteers should email Les Souci at Souci@votermarch.org. Under the proposed permit, there will be no music, but we may have amplified sound for speakers.

I totally agree (with post no. 64). If we let the radicals and terrorists drive us into our homes out of fear, they have won. I am not afraid for myself. But, as a mother of a 22 month and 5-year old, I can't help but worry about their safety.
