Just for the sake of argument what would the Catholic Church think if troops from Saudi Arabia were stationed in the Vatican?
I am afraid that is what these people are thinking about us. That they are angry because our troops are occupying their Holy land in Saudi Arabia. Remove our troops from the region and bring them home to protect America not the oil routes through the Middle East.

If they attacked us on our shores with troops I would be the first to take up arms! If someone is attacking me directly I will defend myself but I would not send a good portion of my military power off to the middle east. We have to make a decision do we want to run an empire or do we want a free republic?

3) If the Vatican called in the Saudis to ask for protection, I would not be offended. I might question their judgement, but I would not be offended at the Saudis for showing up.
Well, if France was threatening to topple the Vatican government and kill the Pope, and had previously indicated the seriousness of their intentions by invading Italy, and Saudi Arabia had a legal treaty with the Vatican under which they were pledged to the Vatican's defense, then I have no doubt the Catholic Church would think, "thank God for our courageous Muslim defenders."

I will credit you with ignorance rather than venality in buying into this fanatic-islamic-fundy lie. While there are passages in the Koran which could be interpreted as discouraging interaction with infidels, there is absolutely nothing which prohibits treaties, agreements, defense pacts, etc, with Christian or Jewish nations (Christians and Jews being "people of the book" and NOT infidels.) The claim that it is a religious outrage for Christians to be in Saudi Arabia has been manufactured by the fundies out of whole cloth. There is only one place in the entire world where non-Muslims are prohibited by the Islamic religion, that being the "house of Allah" (the big black thing) in Mecca.

I am really having a terrible time even trying to understand you. I suggest you study history, let alone what happened! They hijacked our planes on our shores and killed 6500 innocent civilians, not to mention our financial capital! You go to work tomorrow and get trapped like those innocents--then tell me what you will say. Take up arms? Put up or keep quiet!!!!!
Do you watch the news? Have you ever heard of the World Trade Center, or the Pentagon? They did attack us on our own shores with troops who happen to be out of uniform. Those who committ acts of war out of uniform, are eligible to be shot on sight. These slime balls are intent on the deaths of all Americans and other westerners. This is not rocket science. What part of that do you not understand? There is no negotiating with them Your attitude will get thousands, if not millions of us killed. It is a fight to the death, either ours, or theirs. I would prefer it be theirs.
