That's because most Christians are as ignorant about history as they are about their faith. The history of Eastern Christianity under Islam is a history like the Jews experienced in Western Christendom. Repression, massacres, persecutions, etc. There is very little left of these ancient communities and this is the lesson about Islam in history. Not the whitewashed historical nonsense propagated by Islamics and Arabist historians.
