Am I the only one that actually felt the speech wasn't that great? Especially the part about a NEW govt agency.

Bush has done fine, but what remarkable thing has he done? Other than words. Same with Guilianni (sp?). Approval ratings through the roof, for what?

I want action, don't want a bunch of words and crap like that. I'm as big a Bushie as their is, heck I've still got my Bush/Cheney sticker on my car. Do the hard part, kill, destroy, intimidate.

I was supposed to retire this Friday from the Air Force..Guess what? All retirements are on hold by order of the President. I'm not complaining but this only happens when a big can of Whoop Asss is about to happen !

For one very important thing, this president has told us the truth, been open about the scope of the tragedy and the coming further atrocity potential, and gathered the brain-trust together to get the job designated and then implimented, without retreating into the Oval Office bathroom to soil the damn sink. And there are other things this man has done that make him far and away superior to the appeasement freak/liberal asswipes the democrat party worships.

First, the right words well-delivered are one of the most crucial duties of a leader, particularly in times of crisis. He educated, inspired and united the American public--a daunting, delicate, and important task. The public mood has surely changed since that speech.

As for the action, hang on---you will not be disappointed. There is no guarantee we will succeed, but I promise you, we will try with every resource at hand. This man does not disappoint.

On another thread a few days ago, a FReeper suggested something along the lines of ... I want the attack to be so massive and distructive so as to cause legends to be founded about it. Little children centuries from now will be told to be good or that the nighttime monsters (in tanks and jets) will come to punish them.
