WASHINGTON (AP) -- In a timely gesture to a key Middle East friend, the Senate on Monday approved an agreement that effectively removes all trade barriers with Jordan.
The measure, already passed by the House, implements an agreement reached between the Clinton administration and Jordan last fall. The Bush administration strongly supports it.

>>>The U.S.-Jordan Free Trade Agreement (FTA), signed on October 24, 2000, will eliminate duties and commercial barriers to bilateral trade in goods and services originating in the United States and Jordan. The FTA also includes, for the first time ever in the text of a trade agreement, provisions addressing trade and environment, trade and labor, and electronic commerce. Other provisions address intellectual property rights protection, balance of payments, rules of origin, safeguards and procedural matters such as consultations and dispute settlement. Because the United States already has a Bilateral Investment Treaty with Jordan, the FTA does not include an investment chapter <<<

Globalism are the U.N. has created this terrorist act on our country. From military exchanges to science exchanges, ect. Teachers, police, and open boarders. Congress must accept some responsibilities from not protecting the United States citizens.
They have signed onto by the way of treaties and laws to this internatinal U.N. World Order.
Now, because of the mistakes Congress has made, they want to make laws for our freedom, constitution, and bill of rights to be taken away from us.

"...For example, food prices in Jordan will probably drop precipitously in the near future. They will probably be less willing to go to war if it resuts in a loss of their standard of living." Straight-shootin', Vermonter.
Less willing to go to war or join a Jihad movement if there's things to lose, also. Works both ways.
Hell yes: Style the Jordanians up.

How, pray tell, can Congress pass a law overturning the Constitution and the Bill of Rights?

How did Nafta ruin the country? Unemployment was at an all time low and inflation was nonexistent following Nafta, while wages rose in real terms (adjusted for inflation). I look, but don't see the ruination.

Jordan is populated primarily by Palestinians. But Jordan does not want any Palestinian who isnt a Jordanian. Part of the Iraqi, Iranian, Kuwaiti, and Syrian problem is that there are a number of disenfranchised Palestinians running around the area who do not have a home. None of these countries want them. Israel does not want them either. So maybe this deal with Jordan might be a partial solution. Just Maybe!

The United Nations Disgraceful Flag is flying in front of the World Trade Center building along with federal government agency flags, but no US flag.
But everything else is burned all around them--Even cars. So they had to just hang these flags.
i have a pic of the U.N flag at the W.T.C

ZAHN: So it sounds to me, Your Majesty, and I have to do this briefly, that in essence, youre saying perhaps even if, as one of our guests suggested earlier today, peace had been achieved in July of 2000, this still in the Middle East, this still might have happened.
KING ABDULLAH: I dont believe so, because I think that if you had solved the problems of the Middle East, and obviously the core issue is that between the Israeli and Palestinians, I doubt very much that this incident would have taken place, and again, that was a reminder to all of us and why I think so many of us in the international community have been working so hard to bring a stop to the violence and bring people back to the peace process, because, in a vacuum, you do allow the extremists the upper hand and the chance to try things as what happened yesterday. And they will continue on trying until we can solve the problem once and for all.
