WASHINGTON (AP) -- In a timely gesture to a key Middle East friend, the Senate on Monday approved an agreement that effectively removes all trade barriers with Jordan.

The measure, already passed by the House, implements an agreement reached between the Clinton administration and Jordan last fall. The Bush administration strongly supports it.

That would be true if we weren't carrying such huge trade deficits! Every treaty we enter into produces HUGE trade deficits-how does that help us? Answer is it doesn't. It helps a few get rich period. It kills more jobs in America thereby adding even more of us to the poor class so everyone can look down on us. And that's traitorous if you ask me. But the more important issue is that subjugating our sovereignty in any degree is unacceptable. PERIOD. And it is made even more so because the only one it benefits is Big Profits as usual.
