There's still hope...

Texas A&M --Red White Blue ^ | September 23, 2001

On the weekend of September 15/16, students at Texas A&M decided to make T-shirts in red, white, and blue to sell and send proceeds to NYC victims. In six days, they designed, and sold 40,000 T-shirts and organized the students/former students to wear the appropriate color for each section in the stadium.

That is fantastic. Any Freeper that wants to send their kids to a conservative leaning university, but can't afford private school tuition, ought to send their kids to Texas A&M. I am.

I'm not an Aggie, either, (but my brother is). I would be willing to bet that this is one campus where we won't see any of the whinning "peaceniks" doing any marches.

I bow to the Ags for their tremendous effort. I deeply appreciate the effort and outcome of this project.

Someone on one of their boards suggested the Harvard B School would do well to make a case study of this event as a perfect example of a business plan execution. From concept, to planning, to product design, to sourcing, to manufacturing, marketing, sales and distribution - what an effort!

Way to go ags, you did it right!

The students who organized this inspired salute to liberty and capitalism will not receive the minutes or inches of media coverage that Mark Farris, Farmer, Eric Crutchfield, Jay Brooks and Christian Rodriguez will. But as Slocum said: "This was such a great credit to A&M. That these kids got the idea, got the shirts printed, got it publicized and then that many people were willing to do it. It was just a great patriotic expression." They scored more than points Saturday under an overcast sky, and they deserve to have their names mentioned.

Here they are: Nick Lutton, Josh Rosninski, Eric Bethea, Cole Robertson and Kourtney Rogers.
