Animal Rights Terrorist Group Boasts About Acts as America Copes with Tragedy- (09/18)

National

As America struggles to cope with the worst terrorist attack in history, the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) is touting its own terrorist activities. The Business Wire reports that, according to a release from the American Animal Liberation Front office, ALF claimed credit for a September 9 firebombing at a Tucson, Arizona McDonald’s restaurant. They called the firebombing “non-violent destruction.”

Animal Liberation Front made the admission on September 11, the day that America was forced to deal with the horrifying terrorist acts that occurred in New York and Washington, D.C. (emphasis mine)

“This latest ALF act again illustrates the fanatic nature of the animal rights movement in this country,” said Rick Story, WLFA vice president. “At a time when all Americans should pull together, these people are working to tear down the fabric of democracy with their terrorist acts. I hope people remember this incident as reason why we shall not succumb to any terrorist acts in the name of animal rights.”

The fire in Tucson caused $500,000 in damage and the initials ELF and ALF had been spray painted on the fire damaged store walls.

A company the size of McDonald's could certainly put up a $500,000 reward. The "revolutionaries", who are only playing at it, would be knocking each other down to be the first to blow the whistle. I'm sure that McDonald's insurance company would favor such a policy.

Hugh: Can you clarify one point? When these people claim to believe in God, do you take them to be sincere? Or do you take it to be a total sham? And what's the evidence either way? Thanks in advance.

I look at that as I look at the chicken or the egg question; the answer I do not know and does not matter either way.

A more exact answer would be that I bet their organization has some of each belief. Some that think that this is the way to power, and look for whatever will get them that way, and some that seek power because of how deeply they believe in what they do.

That strikes me as more plausible than a blanket claim either way. Judicious, even.
