But there is no such thing as partial Christianity, nor is there any such thing as a Christianity that stands side by side with Islam, or Judaism, or Buddhism, and says, We worship one God under many names. And you wonder why the American people treat you like the Taliban? Many of you extreme fundamentalists share common characteristics with religious fantatics elsewhere. Maybe you dont cut off the hands of criminals or stone women who wear western clothes but then you did burn your share of witches not that many years ago and before that you forced Arabs and Indians in the new world to forcibly convert to Christianity or die by the sword.

Is your hatred so great that you place Jerry Falwell and Osama bin Laden in the same camp? If so, you are beyond reason, and beyond sanity.
Love and peace.

Why should Christians be forced to worship other Gods? Basic Christianity teaches there is but One God and only He is to be worshipped.
Being forced to accept other gods is Taliban-like.

Many of you extreme fundamentalists share common characteristics with religious fantatics elsewhere. Guess what, Dave......God is extreme and demands that we glorify and worship Him and Him alone. You don't get it and likely never will. I feel sorry for you.
Now, go on with your predictable rant.

you did burn your share of witches not that many years agoIf you are referring to Salem, it was the secular authorities who executed the 'witches' (and btw, they were not burned), not the religious authorities.
In fact, it was the religious leaders who put a stop to the witch hysteria.

Dave S, I agree that many of these fundamentalists are ignorant loons, but I don't get the problem you have with that bit you quoted. I'm an educated Catholic, and I don't believe that "We all worship the same God just under different names either." If you're a Christian, whether a mainstream evangelical, a fundamentalist, an Orthodox Christian, or a Roman/Eastern Catholic, you believe there is one true God, manifested in the Trinity, and that's it. My God does not stand shoulder to shoulder with Buddha, Vishnu, Shiva, Jehovah (of the Watchtower Society), L. Ron Hubbard, Xenu, Allah, or the Great Spirit as "one of the boys."

It was generous of you to illustrate some of Dr. White's points so vividly.
But I actually never did any of those things. And no, I don't wonder why people like you liken genuine Christians to the Taliban.
But it isn't the reason you give.
Actually, I think you're like the Taliban. After all, you would punish child molestors and murderers, wouldn't you?

...but then you did burn your share of witches not that many years ago...If you are speaking about Salem, I don't believe anyone was burned to death.
I wonder how our country survived those Talibanistic creatures like George Washington, Noah Webster, John Adams, et.al.
If your reaction is going to be typical of how the general populace will react then I am terribly afraid for the future of this once great Republic.

Although I'd like to say more, let me just say that your comment is not the result of studied history.
