Here's an incredible flash movie that pays tribute to the state of our Union.
:
It's like a bottomless pit of grief. Everytime you think you're okay, another wave of grief and sadness just overtakes you. It's not unusual to see people just doing their ordinary every day thing, and then they just start crying. I literally have a pain in my heart that will not go away, and a sense of heaviness in spirit that beyond description.
We are a nation of loving people. We were innocent of True evil and hatred. Like a family, and having had a sheltered life, we enthusiastically went about the business of life, living, and sharing. We bickered. We argued. We debated. But more than anything we loved. We loved the little fish, invited animals into our homes to be loved, petted, and spoiled. We loved trees, and flowers. We loved people of all colors, creeds, and even of every life style. We refused to judge anyone. We loved G-d, and allowed everyone to find him in their own way, and in their own time. We still love, but we love now with the knowledge that there is evil and hatred directed at us - because we love.
Our innocence is gone. Like a victem of rape, we have been violated and traumatized. We hurt and ache, and cry. And underneath all that love, and hurt, and pain, is a tremedous tumultous anger that is seething, and growing, and building. The force of it is like a gathering storm. With each collective breath that our nation takes, with each sob of grief, is a collective rise in strength, in resolution, in focus.
The presentation illustrates that sense of gathering strength. As the holy books say, to "gird our loins" in preparation for battle, we are girding. There will be a battle, and the might of the entire world will be with us as we seek and destroy those who hate us. This is a battle of biblical dimensions, of good and evil, of love versus hate. I cannot think of it in terms of myself, it is too big. Every time I try to talk about it, it becomes epic.
Our striving Moderators have chosen to remove from the front page for some unknown reason, and it really is one of the best done pieces I've seen yet.
