Experts cited in other FR posts tell us there are MANY terrorist cells here among us now. Who do we have to fear more---THEM or POLITICAL CORRECTNESS??

There is a perfectly good enemy standing right before you - terrorists and the networks that support them. That will be plenty hard enough.
But no - that is not a big enough enemy for you. You need a enemy of a size that comports with the demons in your own heart. It is not even enough to take on radical Islam. You have to take on Islam itself around the world - oh, with a gratuitous addition of political correctness. Together that must number about 1.5 Billion. Oh and you might as well lump in the folks in our military, the Republican Party and the administration who think that our strategy should be focused on bin Laden.
I am sort of curious to hear how you and your friends on this thread envision the conduct of your campaign. Are we to have forced conversions to Christianity - you know drop leaflets around the Middle East directing everyone to Million Man Baptism ceremonies - at threat of being nuked.
And what is your strategy for conversion of the folks in the more remote desert and mountain regions of the Middle East, Central and Southern and East Asia and Africa north of the Sahel.
And what about political correctness in the West - round liberal college professors up and gunpoint and have mass Constitution readings with breaks for scripture from the founding fathers.
I mean seriously - what are you and your friends thinking, because frankly as someone with a lot of military planning experience I haven't a goddamned clue. Not one.

I am afraid if we do not act more like our fathers before us in more ways then just the example you set we are doomed as a nation.
I am proud of President Bush and I support him. I wish he would say something about our borders and tell all illegal aliens to get out now because when we catch them they will take nothing with them it will be a quick trip to the border and they wont be back!
It looks like we are in a recission and if he really wants to pull us out of it he now has a great excuse to kick a few million people out.
One other issue I am very disappointed in. It appears he will continue to help the islamic terriost's who are killing anyone in their way in Serbia. We cannot straddle the fence in this war! Either we go all out like we did in desert storm or we lose in disgrace like nam.

I heard a great summary of the differences between what Mohammed/Allah asks of us and what God asks of us according to their teachings:
Muslim:
What is the best deed?
1)Belief in Allah and his apostle (Mohammed).
What is the next in goodness?
2)To participate in Jihad for Allah's cause.
Christian:
What are the two most important things God asks of us?
1)To love God, having no other God's before Him.
2)Love thy neighbor.

You are half right, Political correctness is indeed an enemy. In 1993 the world trade center was attacked, a bomb was planted with intent of destruction, it failed. The response was civilized according to the rule of law. Several missles were launched at empty camps, an aspirin factory and five men from a network of thousands were brought to America to stand trial for thier "crimes" in a court of law. The men were put in jail never to again commit such "crimes". What has the civilized rule of law accomplished? Eight years later the same building now covers thousands of "dead Americans". The civilized approach had no effect at all, those who feel the same response is in order again are jaded at best and completely void of intellect at worst. Make no mistake, these attacks have just begun on our soil, perhaps after induring horror for a time this idealogical mindset that dictates America must understand the root cause and emotion behind such actions will give way to rational decisions aimed at survival and the top priority of America's Security. The 1993 situation proves these groups cannot be reasoned with. These groups need territory upon which to train, capital in order to operate and freedom to move about. All world nations must fear extreme retaliation if any involvement with such groups is detected. There are cells of Al Qaida present in the united states, the Government is aware of, since under our laws they have not yet committed crimes thier prescense is unaltered. This is an example of Politically correct piolicy. Why in God's name were these people granted leagal visa's? And after the attack of innocent Americans by thier affiliates, why are they not rounded up and detained. These people are able to congregate, plan and distribute thier vile beliefs, but no crime has been committed by them personally, so they are able to enjoy the same freedoms the citizens can, despite thier known ties to terrorist organizations. What a wonderfully civilized society we have, does'nt matter weather policies run contrary to common sense and logic, as long as no individual is offended or discriminated against we maintain our civility. Any who believe these groups want to bargain themselves legitemacy are fools, thier goal is clearer than our willingness to survive. When these men finally gain access to weapons of mamoth destruction they will undoubtably be used. Perhaps we should wait and see, after all, the human heart can change. I for one put no faith in the hope they will change thier pattern of actions, such peoples must be exterminated along with those who's help enabled thier deeds in any way. During WW11 we endured kamikaze pilots (suicide bombers) , the Japanese were willing to fight to last man in order to protect and obey thier emporer. How did the war end? You guessed it , an atrocity was committed. Tokyo was the initial target, due to fog cover it was changed to Hiroshima, then Nagasaki. Thousands of innocent women and children were incinerated in a moment of time. The emporer knew The territory in which he resided was next, he also knew there was no escape, so he surrendered, confidence restored. Every war has been ended with a new bigger weapon, this is cold hard reality, if America insists on the diplomatic rule of law in dealing with these people, she will fall. Adherence to the politically correct agenda is what these people count on, it is thier strongest asset, the foolishness of American idealogical concerns will be the sword which cuts lady liberty's legs from beneath her. War is horrible and nasty, those who consider this act a crime and not an act of war are blind, in war there are no apologies, to do so is self defeating. To rationalize in my own mind, an atrocity, scares me. If an atrocity be needed,so be it. Many will think me insane, I assure you, after several attacks on innocent Americans, all will be unable to overlook reality.

"Yes-- removal of all followers of the islamic religion would be preferable. This will not be done so we should stop all immigration of muslims, deport all who are not American citizens and keep watch on American arabs."
It is too bad that our forefathers did not think to put in the constitution freedom of Christian religion or freedom of Judeo-Christian religion. They probably intended that, as there were only Christians here at the time, but it would have been better if they had said it, so that we didn't have to allow the practice of satanism in our prisons and now the current Islamic conflicts.

You are being sarcastic, I pray.

I love Ann Coulter, but it's not realistic to think you can go in and convert all these folks to Christianity at the point of a gun.Of course Ann Coulter never said that.
She said kill their leaders, you know the ones who are teaching them that cold-blooded murder is okay in the name of Allah.
You either did not read what she said, or you simply decided to make up what you wanted and then attribute that to her.
Her point was that the root cause of this entire Jihad attitude is the religion they are forced to stick with, Islam.
You may disgree with converting them to Christianity, but you cannot say she said to convert anyone to Christianity at the point of a gun, she never did.

I don't think so. Anyone with a 3 digit IQ knows it's Islam not Christian Arab-Americans that is and will be the problem. Islam like Nazism is 100% opposed to the modern world while using its technology to conquer it. Things will settle down and the truth will out. Since your family is probably here due to a muslim pogram I would imagine that you know all about this topic.

I have never understood why people just flip out stats willy-nilly. Only about 33% really do that.

Declaring war on all Islam is exactly what the terrorists would like us to do -- for reasons anyone with an IQ above room temperature should be able to puzzle out. And as Napoleon once said, Never do what your enemy wishes you to do, for the very simple reason that he wishes it.
As far as I'm concerned therefore, those who insist that all Islam is our enemy, are giving aid and comfort to those who truly are the enemy, by promoting their strategy.
With the possible exception of those saying these things, who really ARE the enemy.

---don't forget the home grown islamics either. Hate to say it, but I will anyway because it's true, there are huge numbers of black muslims here, with a really big "militia", and judging by decades of their past pronouncements, there is no love there for whitey. Add in red chinese here, and any of the aztlan revolutionaries, and that's a lot of potential terrs out there with little use for the US as we know it.

"We need to understand that the plan is a 100 year plan. Here in the states we have trouble planning beyond the weekend..." This is not a bad thing, on the face of it. International politics is not like chess. There are a nearly infinite number of variables, and circumstances are likely to change radically from one year to the next. Anyone with a 100 year plan at the beginning of the 20th century, for example, probably didn't fare so well...
To: cicero's_son
The federal reserve/central bankers with their poof created money for themselves and offering "credit" for this money to everyone else didn't do too shabby with their 100 year plan.

I think that's debatable, personally.
But even accepting your premise, any success they might have enjoyed is more the result of an artful and resilient defense of entrenched power than any 100-year master plan, imo.
Entropy is the prime characteristic of human affairs, not conspiracy.

Declaring war on all Islam is exactly what the terrorists would like us to do -- for reasons anyone with an IQ above room temperature should be able to puzzle out. I have an IQ repeatedly certified at least twice room temperature and I know you are an idiot.
Ever hear of the propaganda technique of making assertions and then weaving an argument around a false premise?
Of course, being a legend in your own mind should convince us all that, indeed, that is what the terrorists want us to do.
That's why they're all scurrying like cockroaches in Afghanistan...
Makes sense to me.
To: Cicero
Even if we win, it would be no fun wiping out hundreds of millions of people to do it. Now that is entirely their choice, isn't it.
Seems to me that they all have the option of eradicating the terrorists among them and not just pay lip service to "disapproving" of terrorism.

Prove it. If you wire your house and ignore all the codes and rules and end up with a fire trap, and I say, look out old man you're going to kill yourself...
And you say "prove it!", do you see the stupidity inherent in your question?
Unfortunately, in this case, since the safety and well being of every American is at stake, convincing a senile old man by allowing things to play out is not a rational option.
