I heard a great summary of the differences between what Mohammed/Allah asks of us and what God asks of us according to their teachings:

Muslim:
What is the best deed?
1)Belief in Allah and his apostle (Mohammed).
What is the next in goodness?
2)To participate in Jihad for Allah's cause.

Christian:
What are the two most important things God asks of us?
1)To love God, having no other God's before Him.
2)Love thy neighbor.
