The "Save Bill Maher" Tour Continues
NBC Tonight Show | September 21, 2001 | GreatOne

Posted on 09/21/2001 9:57:41 PM PDT by GreatOne

Just saw Bill Maher on Leno tonight. Wonder if we'll next see him on Letterman, Late Night, Late Late Show, Later (can't these guys come up with an original name), Nightline, Meet the Press, Crossfire, The Daily Show, South Park, Home Shopping Network, BET, Big Brother 2, Lost, and "A Very Special Dawson's Creek", trying to pathetically get across what a "true American" he is.

Even if he wasn't trying to insult the military (which I believe he wasn't), there are a whole host of other outrageous things he's done (saying a baby can be killed up to birth because "Duh, it's not outside the womb - right"; defending Clinton - pick your outrage; etc.). It's about time we were able to get these liberals off the air.

I could go on and on. He was a lot of fun to watch when he first came out on the Comedy Channel, but then he realized he could get chicks and invites to the right parties by going hard left.

True, Doug ... and let's not forget there is ALWAYS much more strength in "unity" than there is in "diversity."

There is strength in cultural homogeneity.

He said this about two years ago, and it was the impetus for me to stop watching his show, although I'll still watch if up late working, or if Ann Coulter, Barbara Olson (R.I.P.), or another notable was on.

The statement was made during the partial-abortion debate, and a guest asked about what the difference was between abortion and killing the baby after birth. His response was my quote

His show is on now in Minnesota. He looked like he was about to cry during his opening comments. Said no national sponsors, and how great ABC is for keeping him on in spite of that. Made another comment about how he loves our country, doesn't care about the show (yeah, right!), and made a "sincere apology".

Floyd Brown sticking (sucking) up to him.

Another boring lecture about the First Amendment (Hey morons - First Amendment only applies to government censorship, not corporations not liking what you say and not supporting you).

Larry Miller made a good point about how stupid it is for the media to be scooping the CIA right now.

First commericals - Trojon condoms (no surprise), Gator Grip, trailer for "The Others" (how does that movie end), preview for "The Practice", Holiday gas station, and Wickes Furniture.

Bill Maher's show was a joke to begin with because it is completely politically CORRECT and in no way a refreshing alternative to the mainstream liberal bias all over TV. I can see why those stupid people want to keep that liberal program on the air. He's yet another mouthpiece for left-wing mediocrity and a platform for attacking conservatives and Republicans.

"Can I also say that if I see another segment/interview about how there are Muslims in the U.S. who are not Islamic Fundamentalists, I'll scream. The people who watch these shows are educated enough to know better, and the ones stupid enough to go after the local taxi cab driver are too busy with the farm animals to be watching."

Yeah that was well said :)

I felt so bad for Muslim Americans (and still do) the first few days after the attack on America because you know they have to be taking grief left and right.

But after the 5th day of "Muslim Americans are US - they are AMERICANS not terrorists who attack civilians and wish ill upon the West and our freedoms" I started to feel like you did - ummm law enforcement can probably do things to stop the hate crimes but obviously the people doing this are not gonna stop no matter how many segments Peter, Tom and Dan run (often times having pacifists who won't comment on other subjects using this as an excuse why Bush is handling this so wrong because his jingoism is causing these attacks and harassment episodes).

You verbalized what I was thinking but never said quite well. Thanks.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who hasn't fallen for this pukes liberal crap. He's on the list of people that if I ever get the chance I will deck him.

I'm not good with words so I could never convey my feelings for him verbally.

As far as Bill Maher is concerned, he is just a socialist puppet for the leftist lobby in disguise. Calling our service men and women cowards is frankly horses*it. They put their lives on the line so he has the right to spew his Anti-American crap. I would LOVE to see that whine'n pansy sitting in the middle a fire fight and see how he hides behind those he called cowards.

I also agree that the evil bastards that did this were not the cowards, but the ones who funded them are. They don't have the guts to own up to what they did and take their medcine. They are scared s*itless of those Bill Maher calls cowards.

I will buy Bill a plane ticket to Afganistan and see who's a freep'n coward.

You know, I wonder if ABC decided some time ago that PI was a loser and just needed a handy excuse to dump it.

I agree. I'm thinking he is now a handicap to the Liberals. I'm sure many of his attacks whether on Bush or on Conservative values, will look unpatriotic now. The Democrats know the polls show Americans are behind Bush and Maher's mouth can't be trusted.

I'll bet he's actually in trouble because he's offended a lot of liberals who want to join in on the show of patriotism sweeping the country and he doesn't fit into their current plans. If they can blame the conservatives for getting rid of him, so much the better as far as they see it.

Maxine Waters delivered a few statements on Crossfire's Town Hall the other day, that were somewhat 'patriotic' and they got overwhelmingly positive audience response. She was glowing and will certainly be looking forward to more opportunities to wrap herself in the flag. Liberals like her know how to work the crowd once they have polled it.

I wouldn't cross the street to piss on Bill Maher if he was on fire! And he's so stupid. He called the military cowards for launching cruise missiles from 200 miles away. Well who ordered those strikes? That's right, it was his hero, Mao Tse Clint-dung.
