Hi all. I am not affiliated with this site in any way, shape or form. I heard about them on my local radio this morning. WarStickers.com is selling bumper stickers for $5.00 each and the profits go to the red cross. Check them out.

Thanks for the bumps. And -- to anyone in the Puget Sound area -- they are asking for volunteers to help prepare the stickers. If you've wanted to help but couldn't think of anything, this is a unique way.

When I entered the service (Vietnam Era) the Red cross was there to make sure that we had personal supplies and a tooth brush and that we had writing supplies, they took our name and address and S/S number and sent a letter home to our folks telling them that we were ok.

They then billed us for this service out of our first check without telling us.

Thanks for my first big laugh in days! In the last week I've I've received no less than three fund-raiser junk mails from the Red Cross exploiting the disaster.

With so few survivors/wounded, I've also wondered why the media continues to tell us to donate blood. Here in New York State, by the second day we had to tolerate being told by national news: DONATE BLOOD, while the local news said: DON'T DONATE BLOOD. They had too much. Of course, it was a convenient way for the Red Cross to resupply its stocks nationwide, as well as solicit donations and build "brand".

When the UN Afghan Refugee Camps (aka Talaban Recruitment Centers) open in Pakistan I'm sure that the donations made by Americans will be put to good use.
