Not ONLY will we be doing a live Emmy thread, but tomorrow is Miss America. How can we possibly miss that!!!!I think I just planned my whole weekend. I have got to visit the guild threads more often, this is great!

I agree that the day of remembrance - mourning, if you will - was last Friday. Black outfits, candles and mournful songs may seem appropriate to these entertainers, but I think it just shows how out of touch they are - as do the lack of flags and absence of patriotism. Some of them mean well, but they seem not to have grasped what's been happening in the past 10 days with the mood of the country - probably because they didn't want to watch Pres. Bush's speech last night.

OK, I like Dave Matthews drummer, but his lyrics are obtuse. What the hell is he talking about. He makes Captain Beefheart's lyrics look like a Harold Bloom work.
Hey, some stars and stripes...bout time.

Great minds...
I paired it up with the Iwojima pic on a thread days ago before I saw anyone else do it. I guess the similarities are striking, aren't they?

Can you believe these guys are actors. They are stiff as hell and look like small town news anchors when reading the telepromter.

A FLAG JACKET!!!!!! I can't believe it. It's on Wyclef Jean. He's a reggae guy from the islands. Hang on, my eyes, are focusing, yes, I see another flag on the piano!!! My heart can't take it.
Sarah Jessica Parker just came out with Conan O'Brien. She cut her hair, but kept her face.

U2 from london. It's in black and white for him. This is all done in closed studios. No audience.
No Audience, No American Flags, NO THANKS!
I'll watch with the sound off and listen to a Al Rantel on KABC radio here in Los Angeles.
He'll probably get some snipes in about this dreck.

Fox News still has regular broadcasting if it get's really bad and you need a break! MN Twins are playing Cleveland and during the 7th inning stretch they first sang Take Me Out To The Ball Game and then played Lee Greenwood's, Proud To Be An American. Thanks for the play by play - then I don't have to get crabby by watching.

BTW, I think it is just terrible that gay groups right away tried to claim the fireman chaplin, as well as one of the heroes on the PA flight. Heroes are heroes, no matter what their sexuality is.

Oh please come to the Guild, You will love it!!!!!
TOM CRUISE ALERT!!!!!! oh wow, I thought that Penelope Cruz was surgically attached to him. But he's alone. He must have had a Penelopectomy. He is stumbling over some words. Gee, doesn't President Bush sometimes mess up his words?
James Woods and Sylvester Stallone were working the phones.
MARIAH CAREY NUTBAG ALERT!!!! Fresh out of the Looney Bin!!. Looks like she still hasn't upgraded the wardrobe to a size that actually fits. Nice girdle lines. I haven't seen that for a while.
