Matt Abbott, director of public affairs for America's Pro-Life Action League told LifeSite, "If Ridge refuses to ensure the security of the most helpless citizens of his state - the unborn - how can he be expected to safeguard security for the nation?" I'm very anti-abortion. But this is a stupid time and a stupid place to be working this angle. Ridge is now pro-death - as in the deaths of terrorists - and his abortion views have absolutely no bearing on the job he faces. The Pro-Life Action League will come off no better than Peter Jennings if they keep this up.

Within the honorable pro-life movement is an element of fanatics so focused on the issue nothing else matters.
In the Dallas Morning News yesterday, we had a letter to the editor from someone who said she could not
understand why we are morning 6,000+ dead in the WTC attack, when there are 4,000 abortions a day.
Amazing.

"The Pro-Life Action League will come off no better than Peter Jennings if they keep this up.I too am anti abortion, and I'm with you on this.
But I sure wish the Arabs would have started practicing abortion about 40 or 50 years ago!

Exactly-- all the single issue people ARE IDIOTS. Unless the single issue they're interested in is the war. The world changed on September 11 and only the fools don't know that.

I am pro-life...I have ACTUALLY rescued a baby (now a fine contributor to society)....but you are right Dirtboy...the anti-Bush types just don't know when to shut up...they HURT their causes by the constant cry baby tactics everytime Bush doesn't kiss their butts.

Amen to that.

But this is a stupid time and a stupid place to be working this angle. Thank you dirtboy. BTW, I remember candidate Dubya saying abortion would not be a litmus test. I'm glad he kept his word. If we don't have the left picking apart his judical nominess, we have some on the right picking apart someone he considers "the best man for the job" for fighting terrorism.
I am also very anti-abortion. But this illustrates why abortion should not be a political issue. There are other, more effective ways to fight it, starting in our own homes, in our own communities. Oh well, different thread, different topic.
