You've got it exactly backwards. It's the Arabs, mainly the muslims, that have to "tone down their irritating points" (such as the Jihad, Sharia, the notion that Jews should live as Dhimmis, and the mullah's calls to kill all Americans and Jews whereever you find them) and recognize the right of the some 6 million Jews there to live in peace. After that, Israel won't be much of a bother to them. If they had done this in 1929, or 1948, or 1956, or anytime prior to 1967, there would be no occupation to complain about.
