SPECIAL EDITION

Tonight, the citizens of the United States and people throughout the world saw a man with passion, principle, and resolve, lead a united effort in the war on terrorism. In a speech being hailed as one of the best modern era speeches ever given, President George W. Bush spoke to a joint session of Congress regarding the attack on America. The President outlined just who the war on terrorism is against, but also revealed specifics as to who they are and what they stand for. He also powerfully reiterated that the United States and countries united with us will not stand for actions like this any longer. In one of the strongest statements in his speech, the President said, 'Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists', surely a outward warning to those who are waivering in their decision to join us in this war.

After the President's 40+ minute speech, the standard opposition party response was also historic for it was not an opposing view, but a stand with each other as one united front of principle and resolve.

Enjoy this very special edition of the daily dose of Dubya!

I am SO proud of this man. Finally, the world sees what we have known all along- he was the right man for America, at the right time.

We are witnesses to history tonight ladies, and gents. This time and this speech will be written about in the years to come as a defining moment in the United States. Our President really showed the rest of the nation and the world what we here have always known, he is God's chosen man for our time!
He was just magnificent tonight, and we can be so thankful to have such a sincere, dedicated man to lead us through the most historic period in our history. For the first time in the nations existence, war has come to our very shores and we are so fortunate to have the Bush team of experienced men and women to execute the war on terrorism we are about to undertake.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our President and our military men and women, and our fellow citizens. We of course are also remembering the families of those who lost loved ones in the attacks, may God grant them comfort.

Thanks again for the pictorial review. I sincerely hope he is in bed and asleep right now. He'll need to be rested for another grueling day tomorrow.

I had that privilege - but my (then) 10 year old daughter went one better. He lowered himself to her level and cupped his hands on her face as I spoke to him. Afterwards, she told me she'd never wash her face again. However, as her mother, I have insisted that she tend to her hygiene!

I saw firm resolve and decisive action and tender concern for those who lost. It was magnificent! We couldn't have a better president for this tragedy. In just the short time George W. Bush has been President, he has become a president for all Americans. That's so important after #42 was never anything but a partisan boob. And wasn't #97 disgraceful?

Think back to November and December of 2000, when half this country believed GWB was the wrong man for this country. There is no way in the world I could ever see Al Gore inspiring America as Dubya has. He is one of us, and never claimed to be anything more.

We have truly been blessed.

WOW! Now so many other people know what we all knew a long time ago--George W. Bush is a strong, confident, capable leader. He is the right man for our times. I think the President and Mrs. Bush need our all-day-long prayers; they both have obviously been very affected, as seen by the times they choke back tears, appear somber, or are visibly moved. We need to pray for their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

This is a fabulous thread. Thank you rintense for these super photos. The speech was outstanding! I can't recall when any president got such a long applause at the conclusion of a speech about anything! President Bush exhudes a sense of resoluteness! I heard on one of the follow up broadcasts.. It was John Kasich... who said he hoped bush could keep up the [act].. that was not the word he used but is translates into that. What lots of people do not understand yet is that Bush is no actor.... and his distress at the suffering of others is real , not like the former lip biter in chief. Oh by the way, did anyone catch how disinterested Hitlery looked???Someone should slap her.
