There is plenty of good about this country. However, when lives are knowingly thrown away for money, I get a bit peeved.

I remember a time when people felt more patriotic about this country with Russian missiles were aimed at us. Human dignity had meaning then. That is rapidly fading into the sunset & I join so many others in demanding the traditional America back.

When one has to spend large amounts of time documenting human rights abuses - and how they were methodically effected - by the government - ensuring corporate profits, over human life - there is something badly wrong.

That would include methodically ignoring complaints, reports and documented history to effect the death of some 6,000 innocent people.

If any person in government had listened to such people as myself - among many others - those 6,000 people could still be alive. Instead, those who cared were beaten down or terminated from employment.

I did my best; it didn't work, so I'll dedicate my time to bringing those accountable to justice - forgive the fantasy - if at all possible.

"Justice" is a proud old American tradition - with your permission; as in, "...., under God, with liberty and justice for all."

I realize that such ideas challenge your Perception Control Matrix, but until they shut down the Internet; I'll continue.

Re: post #158 -

It will probably be a function of another Presidential Executive Order. That's where the President bypasses Congress & Congress remembers those secret pictures with the kids or annimals & says nothing.

Check out Presidential Executive Order 12919; if you want to see the rest. Enter "EO 12919" in your search engine; or,

"EO + Bush.".

Ridge is a good guy. He couldn't help it that he couldn't deliver PA for Bush in the election--the Dems in Philly and Pittsburgh stole it.

If Ridge could not root out obvious (more votes than registered voters!) corruption in PA how is he going to help defend the whole country??

A militant pro-abort gun-grabber is now our Secretary of Homeland Security, with Cabinet rank? Better not own a gun or protest against abortion, or you'll be thrown into a small, rat-infested cell right next to some Muslim cleric.

Me neither. I always worry about czars. This would be perfect for the "new world order" people. I will take a wait and see attitude, but, I don't like it.

"you both exaggaerate your numbers and your importance to society" - So do RINOs like yourself. You believe there ought to be a laws against anything you don't like and no laws for what you do. Seems to me the libertarians know what liberty is, while you seem to want more and more "wars" on whatever.

i see alot of libertarian bashing and not much actual discussion of Ridge. As a Pa resident i got suckered into voting for him once..but after watching his policies for the first 4 years i voted for the constitution party in the next election. He is pro abortion and pro big government. I understand that most people don't know him from Adam. But be careful that your love affair with believing whatever the republican party tells you is right and good for you does'nt bite you in the ass. I've noticed alot of people here will defend Bush as hard as any liberal ever defended Clinton simply because you defend the party without actually looking at it. I actually listened to what Bush said and i compared it to what he did during the primary and rather than being fooled again, like i was in 94, that ended me being a republican. Bush has been trying to get Ridge in there ever since he floated the trial balloon for him for VP.

Clean now, but, what if another clinton type gets in in the future? Have a healthy suspicion about things such as this. Could this affect forums such as this one. I, for one, do not want cradle to the grave security if I have to give up my freedom to speak, think or move about.

Bush said this cabinet position would be responsible for bringing together federal and state law enforcement.

We're talking a national police here people. This is dirty from the get go.

I don't expect a globalist to understand the superior status of state authority.

It's the states that should be developing a cooperative state level network for the tracking of suspected terrorists within their borders, and providing such data to the fed on an as needed basis.

The states are allowing the fed steamroller to squash their autonomy as flat as a pancake.

WAKE UP DUMMIES -- THIS IS A VIOLATION OF THE REPUBLIC'S CONSTITUTION ! ! ! WAKE UP DUMMIES -- THIS IS A VIOLATION OF THE REPUBLIC'S CONSTITUTION ! ! !

You responded: Not. Not even a little. It is, in fact, the essence of one of the key elements of our nation's constitution -- defense. Get a clue here, we are at war.

Tell me imberedux, do you have a clue as to why there was movement to establish a national police force at the outbreak of WWI or WWII?

The answer:

Unlike today, Americans of those periods were schooled and understood the content of the Constitution. They also had a will and pride of spirit about local control of government, and had no desire to be perpetually sucking from a manipulative federal teat.

Your argument is a hollow and contemptuous attack on the separation of powers demanded by within the Constitution.

What I'm hearing here from some people is "anything that's peaceful" as long as it does not interfere with my life. Liberty be damned!!! I remind you that the people that backed affirmative action in the beginning are now realizing a law can work both ways judging by recent court decisions. Therefore, all of you that think another czar is great, be careful, because it may come back to bite us. Repectfully John

" If any person in government had listened to such people as myself - among many others - those 6,000 people could still be alive. Instead, those who cared were beaten down or terminated from employment. "

You give yourself far too much credit, since the way you go about things accomplish nothing. If you are sincere, sit down and write a reasonable and reasoned letter, explaining what you see as the problem. There *are* things that need to be changed, none of us doubt that, but it will not be done by posting irrelevant, non-evidenced facts (aka rumors and rants by those with personal axes to grind) so many times, even a minute fact would become irrelevant.

You need to find a legitimate hero, one who cares about our country, and IMO President George W Bush is that one for now. We need to let him know, and all the bastards across the world that we will fight for our country, and work on making it better--be we love it even with the problems. Don't forget, the Clintons had 8 years to befoul virtually every aspect of our lives; President Bush has been with us only 8 months--give him a chance; he proved to us once again in his speech that he deserves it.

Read MinuteGal's post on this thread--we need to stop the negativity.
