Thanks for your kind words! I just hope that I was able to be of some help here! My CheckFree contribution to FreeRepublic has been increased starting in October!
Life in our Republic has costs! Only the socialists, commies and free loaders fail to realize that!
I look at my contributions to Free Republic as an investment in maintaining our Republic and what it stands for. That investment will help my 30 something sons, my two young grandchildren, all of my nephew, nieces and grand nephews and nieces to be able to participate and enjoy life in our republic like I have been so fortunate to do in my 62 years!
The reason, that I have been able to enjoy these great blessings have been the investments in our country by my ancestors and the ancestors of others. Those investments often meant their life and way of life! Yet they made those investments and the sacrifices necessary during their lives!
FreeRepublic is more than just a news gathering and discussion web site. Brave Freepers get involved and march and send letters/email and faxes to change bad opinions/actions by the dark siders!
FreeRepublic is the worst nightmare and daytime terror for the left wing extremists who hate America and Americans! Lets make their nightmares and daytime terrors increase with our $ support of FreeRepublic!
Can you imagine the power Freepers would have if we had a 200-500,000 active and contributing members? We would be able to implement massive changes as Jim Robinson so notes in his introduction to Free Republic!

Has FR considered banner advertising, subscription newsletters, FR t-shirts, hats and key chains, etc to help fund FR alongside donations?

Or even selling things through amazon.com, etc which I believe gives 5% referral fees.
