He effectively called the leadership that preceded Bush cowards, i.e., the Clinton administration. The problem is that he didn't name names, so parts of his audience has to guess who he was referring to. I have no doubt that Maher was referrring to the Clinton Administration and NOT our military forces, who after all only follow orders.
I think the complainers and Fedex were off target.
As to whether the suicide hijackers were cowards, that's debatable. Being willing to give your life for your cause isn't cowardly, but committing suicide to avoid justice or retribution on earth is.
You may be right. But you've got to admit it's strange that Maher ( who usually hogs so much air time to clearly get his opinion across), didn't bother one bit to make it clear he was referring to Clinton.
He believes that the terrorists who hijacked the airliners from an un-armed crew and flew it into an un-armed building with un-armed inhabitatants is gutsy and brave. Maher has been doing this type of attack on the subjects of his jokes for years, so he believes it's brave!
Maher also fails to address the belief that the terrorists hold that they will be served sexually by underaged virgins after murdering all those people.
This is a good example of the perverted being praised by the mindless. What a pathetic character Maher is.
