I was just thinking the same thing. The New Testiment also pretty much seems to suggest that no other religions but Christianity are worthwhile, and non-believers go to hell. Christianity had it's own Crusades and Inquisitions centuries ago. They grew and learn and changed, and you don't see that sort of thing anymore, really.

Unfortunately, it seems to be Islams turn...what a bitch they had to go completely nutso in an age of airplanes, guns and nuclear bombs :(

I always thought of Islam as a religion more like Buddhism.

I never dreamed that the leader was a pedophile, slave holder, torturor, warrior, etc.

My Christian faith is not as strong as I would like, but when you compare the leaders of these two religions, it makes me believe more than ever in Jesus and his teachings.

I don't believe we should ignore the teachings of their leader.

I am sure there are many Moslems that don't advocate in the terrorist tactics of the last few days, but we should be aware of the tenets of this religion. I am hoping that some of these Moslems re-evaluate their faith in this religion.

I have friends that are Moslems, but I plan to follow Reagan's excellent advice: "Trust but Verify".

Don't confuse the Church with Christianity. Christianity had no such things. The actions of the Church in the Crusades and Inquisition are prime examples of government excesses.

If you follow the Lord Jesus perfectly you are going to be someone like Mother Teresa, giving of yourself to help the poorest of poor and the most helpless of the helpless.

If you follow Mohemmad perfectly will you be someone like Bin Ladin? That's the significant question.
