Naked Janet Reno?!!? Thanks a lot, I was just starting to eat breakfast.

Believe me there are plenty of Americans who hate their own country as much as foreigners hate the U.S. Academia is full of them. So is the Democratic Party.

"The puerile anti-Americanism of the British Left has seemed a harmless enough joke during the good, safe years when there was enough capitalist bounty to give socialists a good party."
LOL! Ain't that the truth.

Last week, briefly, I had a passing thought that even the best of the best from the left couldn't justify this act of terror. But I self-corrected, as I knew that only time was needed.
I hope the left doesn't mind too much if we ignore them for a few centuries. For their sake, as well as ours.

"As Martin Amis puts it in (where else?) yesterday's Guardian: "Terror is political communication by other means."
I swear, this sounds like it could have come from Hitler, Moa, or Stalin.

"Call me an isolationist, but I truly believe the larger part of mankind is dumber than our forefathers."
Interesting, I especially like the forefathers comment. I'll probably use that sometime.

ROTFLMAO!!! Too good. Man that's funny.

Like I say, "The greatest threat to America comes from Americans".

At what point would these people decide that an action was so evil, so utterly beyond the pale of human conscience, that it was ruled out as part of the argument? That's easy, Janet; the instant WE do something, these people will all stop equivocating and condemn us.
Thanks for the article, Utah Girl, I'm sending this one around.

"You can't 'force' freedom on someone."True enough. Please allow me to rephrase the sentence:
"Our heritage can no more be received by an unwilling world than a naked Janet Reno could be received willingly into my bed."
It may be unkind to equate our liberties with a naked Reno, but until these yahoos are educated to appreciate them, we'd best not swing from coast to coast expecting the world to recognize and receive the beacon we bear. To Americans it seems inconceiveable that one would not accept personal economic security, for example. But to those outside - especially those who have an entirely different world view - the idea is as alien as . . . well . . . I don't want to spoil another man's meal.
