The 'big boy's' comment was in reference to his throwing an insult but then crying when he got it back in spades but thanks so much for the scintillating commentary. ;o)

I think Dulles and Washington Int'l ought to be moved further into Virginia. They are just too close to DC as they are right now, IMO.

I think they ought to move DC further north into Maryland. lol

Leaving the passengers to fend for themselves had there been a real emergency. Arm the passengers.

They do in Brazil and it works! Not to mention most everyone on the street is armed... We could take a lesson, don't ya think?

Shut up or Senator Byrd will move it to Morgantown, Bluefield or both.

It's likely we won't more hijackings; the flashlight is shining on the cockroaches.

It is much more likely that they , as VP Cheney said, are thinking up something else clever, and will strike where unexpected, maybe even with biological or chemical weapons. The way the country is on edge, even a small, generally ineffective attack, would send many into a panic. Let's hope that the authorities can catch them before they again do something catastrophic. And I would like to think that ordinary arabic muslims in this country would turn in those planning such terror.

"You can't run with the big boys, stay on the porch." I could mention the whopping .02% of the Vote for the "big boys" but I won't :-)

Luckily, I'm beneath all that, so hear goes:

3rd Party Results In General Elections

2000 Election Results

George W. Ralph Nader Winona LaDuke Green 2,882,897 2.74%
Patrick Buchanan Ezola Foster Reform 449,102 0.43%
Harry Browne Art Olivier Libertarian 384,429 0.36%
Other - - 232,930 0.22%

1996 Election Results

H. Ross Perot Pat Choate Reform 8,085,402 8.40%
Ralph Nader Winona LaDuke Green 685,128 0.71%
Harry Browne Jo Jorgensen Libertarian 485,798 0.50%
Other - - 420,194 0.44%

1992 Election Results

H. Ross Perot James Stockdale Independent 19,742,240 18.91%
Andre Marrau Nancy Lord Libertarian 291,631 0.28%
Other - - 378,532 0.36%

1988 Election Results

Ron Paul Andre Marrou Libertarian 432,181 0.47%

1984 Election Results

David Bergland James Lewis Libertarian 228,314 0.24%

1980 Election Results

John Anderson Patrick Lucey Nat'l Union 5,720,060 6.61%
Ed Clark David Koch Libertarian 921,299 1.06%

1976 Election Results

*No data available for Libertarians*
Eugene McCarthy Various Independent 756,691 0.93%

1972 Election Results

John Schmitz Thomas Anderson Independent 1,099,482 1.41%
John Hospers Theodora Nathan Libertarian 3,673 0.00% (LOL!)

Summary
1. The Libertarians do not have a growing mandate. Their totals have fluctuated over the last 28 years, but seem to be on a decline, sinking from around 0.5% to 0.36% in 2000.

2. The Libertarians are NOT America's #1 third party, as they often state. They finished 5th in 2000, 5th in 1996, 4th in 1992, 4th in 1980, and 4th in 1972. In fact, the Libertarian candidate for President has actually finished in third place on two occasions. It seems, in actuality, the only time Libertarians actually can finish third is when no one else actually runs, and even then, "Other" parties, such as the utterly irrelevant Socialist Workers Party, Communist Party, and Prohibition Party combine to beat or equal the Libertarian vote.

3. The Libertarians do not have the right to even claim they are "1 per centers." Only once has a Libertarian attained 1 per cent of the popular vote. In fact, on only one other occasion has the Libertarian candidate even garnered HALF a percent. In 1972, the Libertarian candidate did not even REGISTER a number. The only way to do so would be to extrapolate the number to the fifth decimal place, or a hundred-thousandth of a per cent! That's a decimal point, followed by four zeros.

4. The Libertarian Party, over seven elections, with a thirty-year history, has yet to equal the number of votes Ralph Nader was able to garner in 2000, in all the elections the party has fielded a candidate COMBINED. While Nader pulled in 2.88 million votes in 2000, the Libertarian candidates combined have pulled in 2,747,325 votes.

"Shut up or Senator Byrd will move it to Morgantown, Bluefield or both."

He can move the whole damn kit a cabuttle for all I care. He does, afterall, win the pork barrell oinker award every single year.

Does anyone besides me think that man's brain has probably been eatten alive with syphilus? He always has that depraved/drugged up look about him. Like he's pounding the bottle, while he pounding the podium (and pounding God-knows what else). Creepy.
