It is not always easy or fun sitting at a computer for hours and hours monitoring these threads. Everyone person here is a VOLUNTEER. As a matter of fact, we pay to do this. We spend days and weeks helping to keep FreeRepublic running.

Ask yourself these questions:

Where is the first place I go to get my news?
Am I getting any benefit from FreeRepublic?
Am I learning from FreeRepublic?

FreeRepublic is not free. It costs Jim Robinson tens of thousands of dollars to keep this forum running. There are over 60,000 registered users on FreeRepublic and only 1,000 help keep this forum running regularly. Those who do not have the ability to donate money could help by stopping by and giving a bump. Those who who do have the means and have not contributed, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You are a FReeploader.

We do not want to see this forum dead, therefore, we are asking that you help keep FreeRepublic running.

If everyone who registered donated one measly dollar a month, we would never have to have a fundraiser again.

Last Tuesday I was in my office with no radio or TV. I heard the news early from a co-worker. I could not get on ANY of the news websites. So...I went here and was kept informed by all the great folks here.

We need to get this show on the road so we can go read the news and put our 2 cents in! I love hanging out with all of you here on the fundraising threads because you are the greatest group of people I have ever known. But we're at war. I want to read the news. I want to reply.

You have been doing so much for this effort! So many others have too. I want us all to be able to get on to other things. I want FreeRepublic to have the financial resources it needs to stay up and running during this time of crisis! I will not quit until it does!

I will be increasing my monthly donation inspite of my bigger PGE bills, thank you Gray Davis, a new grandson, and an increased church donation! The whopping increases in my PG&E bill stopped a planned FR increase this past early spring. I have been retired for 6 years and there ain't no monthly pay raises in retirement. In fact there are zero in my case! However, a monthly donation to Free Republic is a monthly insurance policy to insure freedom for my Grandchildren!

It sure as hell wouldn't be the Lucianne site. That baboon that admins the site banned me after I posted a piece that was critcal of Libertarians. (If the Libertarians had not earned my eternal wrath before that, they have now - LOL). The stated reason was that I didn't have a valid E-mail address, which was bogus. If you're visiting from Lucianne, you're cordially invited to a much better site; this one!
