It is not always easy or fun sitting at a computer for hours and hours monitoring these threads. Everyone person here is a VOLUNTEER. As a matter of fact, we pay to do this. We spend days and weeks helping to keep FreeRepublic running.
Ask yourself these questions:
Where is the first place I go to get my news?
Am I getting any benefit from FreeRepublic?
Am I learning from FreeRepublic?
FreeRepublic is not free. It costs Jim Robinson tens of thousands of dollars to keep this forum running. There are over 60,000 registered users on FreeRepublic and only 1,000 help keep this forum running regularly. Those who do not have the ability to donate money could help by stopping by and giving a bump. Those who who do have the means and have not contributed, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You are a FReeploader.
We do not want to see this forum dead, therefore, we are asking that you help keep FreeRepublic running.
If everyone who registered donated one measly dollar a month, we would never have to have a fundraiser again.

Thank you, freeper12. It means a lot that you care that FreeRepublic is made up of 'good stewards' as well as patriots. Not perfect, mind you, but concerned more for others, and for our country, than for ourselves. Thank you again for your vigilence and your support.

I sent mine just before we went on vacation. Wasn't as much as I'd like, but I'd sent money to the Klamath Food bank and Klamath relief fund too.
