You are on a great journey, indeed -- the privilege of being present when one of His most faithful enter eternity is very comforting and reassures our own Faith.
Let your tears be sweetened by your deep love which has no end in this world ... and I will ... PRAISE GOD!

I cannot imagine losing one of my children -- may you find strength from the prayers offered by FReepers and comfort in your own trust in Him!
To: ALL - Update on my sister
Thank all of you so very, very much for your prayers and blessings! I cannot find the words to express my gratitude!!! Donnas memorial service will be held this Saturday. Her heart stopped on Monday, October 1 at about 3:32 p.m. Her husband, daughter, son and I were right there for her final moments. PRAISE GOD!!!
Last Thursday at about 1:30 I was downstairs at the hospital with my nephews wife. I felt a warm rush go through me as if my sister was letting me know her spirit was free and she was happy, alive and well. We hurried back upstairs and discovered her body had slipped into a deep coma.
I had experienced that warm rush before. The evening before my mothers heart stopped, just when she entered a deep coma and previously when my former husbands heart stopped while we were diving.
Praise God!!! for the blessed assurance of witnessing Donnas graduation, both in spirit and in body! Every moment with Donna is a treasure to me and I Praise God!!! that this separation is only temporary!

AMEN AG, AMEN. I know that Donna is in heaven already and knows those in charge very well, but I also know that Freepers and relatives of Freepers are showing her the ropes, or harps as the case may be.
May GOD bless you and your as you face the chalenges and needs to come!

Prayers for Donna, for you and your entire family. What a strong family you are...and a comfort to each other. My deepest sincere sympathy for your loss, but I feel peaceful knowing of your belief in God and your strength in knowing that you will be together with Donna again. You are such a bright light, Alamo-Girl...truly know how much you are loved here. From an Austin neighbor. Warm huggs.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and all the family at this time. Donna fought a valiant fight and now is in a much better place than the rest of us. It is the loved ones left here on earth that need comfort to ease the pain of loss. I pray that God grants His comforts and blessings to all of you.

You have not indicated if your sister has come to know, and accept Jesus Christ as her Savior. In any case, I pray that the Holy Spirit will come to her and open her mind to the Comforter. As it is written in Scripture "None shall come to my Father but through me." It is also written that none shall come to know The Word, but through the Spirit.
The following Biblical chapter should be read in the foregoing context: II Cor 12

I think that a good thing to focus on should be the Word of God as proclaimed in the Bible.
First examine the parable of the Rich Farmer in Luke 12. You should notice two contrasting statements:
And he said, This will I do," and the other being, "But God said unto him."
When life revolves around self, when God's claims are ignored, it must be expected that He will intervene to save us from the fruits of our folly. He is our Father after all, no? "For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth" Heb 12:6
Regardless of how his word seems unkindly, He is the God of Love, and His purposes are far beyond our knowing. When unpleasant events befall us, we should seek to recognize that This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes (Ps. 118:23).
God is not working to baffle our energies or disappoint our hopes. He seeks to lead us into paths where we will find our highest development.
He that spareth not His own Son, but delivered him up for us all, now shall He not with Him also freely give use all things? (Rom. 8:32)

Theyve moved the prognosis from 6 months to 1-2 months.
It would appear my dear Alamo-Girl, my darling Claire ....shall also escape the advent of a miracle...
I join you in your remorse..
