I think in the coming weeks you will find very little criticism from the mainstream press for the Kosovo Liberation Army. Attempts to provide linkage between the followers of Albanian nationalism and the Islamic entente are a hopeless reach at best by a Slavic fringe element that still do not understand the true relationship between the US and the KLA.

Many months ago several threads discussed Camp Bondsteel as a possible modern day Dien Bien Phu -- to the yawns of most. Realists merely need to understand that Camp Bondsteel represents the greatest concentration of American troops within long range missile attack radius of US enemies -- and that the KLA's liberation of the Tetovo Republic has greatly increased the Southern security perimeter for this encampment.

If Camp Bondsteel becomes a target of any coming war then you can be assured it will not be hit by a primitive multiple rocket launch system from the liberated zone of the Tetovo Republic. In addition it is likely that several score KLA fighters will become part of any American light ground forces that go into Afghanistan.

You see, they have been fighting in mountains for years -- and many have experience directing NATO airstrikes during the Kosovo war. America about to reap the dividends of training and equipping the descendents of Ancient Illyria all these years...

As usual the Slavic apologists are so wrapped up in their mindless hate they are unable to grasp the realities of a new world that was born long before a week ago. Then again, that is often the case with "civilisations" in their decline...

The "slavs" (as you call them) and us Americans have had the same REAL enemy for a long, long time--the muslim supremacists, working for muslim world domination!! How does the Serbian population of Kosovo drop in the last 50 yrs. from 80-90% of the population of the province to about 10% while the pop. of the Albanians rise from 10-20% in the midst of Serbian ethnic cleansing?

Fusion things have been hectic. I always thought it odd that before the NATO bombing the KLA were receiving training from both the U.S. and from Islamic extremists from Afghanistan. Considering the history of the two sides it seemed quite strange but then again when your the underdog the KLA will take what it can get. The big question is who the KLA wants to hang around with now, considering the strong dislike by the U.S. for Muslim terrorists. The eminent overthrow of the Muslim extremists in Afghanistan will happen and the KLA connection to them may cause some difficulty with the so called love affair with the United States. Time to take a side and stop playing both ends? The over through of Afghanistan will happen from the inside and the KLA will lose a valuable supply of weapons.
