Go get 'em, Mr. President!!

There were reports that some Los Angeles businessmen had put up $1 billion in a dead-or-alive rewards, too. Normally, such a things gets you a visit from a couple of nice gentlemen from the FBI, but it looks like this offer remains on the table.

Did anyone else notice how POSITIVELY President Bush phrases his remarks: The only time he said 'not' was in the context of what he 'will not allow'
What a leader we have!
Even the press corps are now respectful!
And a thought about Ari & Helen Thomas: I was reminded of the adage - Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Listening to Helen's questions is terrific as opposition research.

Thanks for posting President Bush's remarks at the Pentagon. At Ari Fleischer's press briefing this afternoon, the reporters wanted to know exactly what the President meant by "dead or alive". Ari said, exactly that, dead or alive. Excellent responses from him today, the press questions were bordering on stupid again.
I thought as I was listening that we out West know exactly what bring 'em in dead or alive means, no interpretation required.

As much as I applaud the rhetoric, I am concerned that there's really not much the President can say at this point, but this does not stop the press but looking for "news" where there really is none. Each time the President faces reporters (and he has to do that every day to avoid the appearance of "hiding out") he has to say something he did not say the day before to give the appearance of moving forward.
Bush is too good a man, and too good a president to yack about security issues and tip his hands to our enemies - so what is left? Today Bush says he wants bin Laden, "dead or alive." Oooooo say the presstitutes, what does that mean? Ooooo that sounds serious. I think it's obvious that in a war, you want your enemy dead or alive, so that shouldn't be news to anyone. But hey, they have to report something.
Now that Bush has said these words, what does he do tomorrow? Say that he wants to eat bin Laden's liver?
