Ladies and Gentlemen, It's through the tears that I've been trying to hold back for over a week now, that I read this post. I'm retired USAF, I joined immediately out of high school. I joined before it became a way of "getting an education", or for a bonus. I've always loved my country, and served through the cold war, Desert Storm, Grenada, Panama, and various military actions through two decades. I joined because I was, am, and always shall be, a flag waving patriot. I've been scared that Patriotism has become so un-PC. I've been called a militant, and a whacko (by my own family) because I've tried to keep my Christian values. My wife and I do our best, trying to raise our son with morals.

Now I'm scared for our country, and our countrymen (and women) who will take the banner from those of us that are older and beyond the age to serve in the armed forces.

Reading this thread has given me renewed strength and faith in our country.

This is Todd beamers friend. I am overwhelmed by the thoughts and support we are getting from the entire country! "let's Roll" was Todd saying in life and is now America's cry in his death. For those of you contacting me and wanting to help,We have started the Todd M. Beamer Memorial Foundation, inc. (beamerfoundation.org). This foundaton will help the thousands of children of the victims of these attacks. Many of these children have no health insurance and will also need assistance in the future for their educations. We hope to help provide this for them. We have also trademarked "Let's Roll" in order to keep it out of the hands of people who want to profit for themselves. We will soon be offering T-shirts, etc. on our website with all proceeds going to help the victims children. We thank you for all your support.
