Maybe he could have an unfortuante accident while being transported. Dang! Scum overboard. Fishbait!

we recklessly sling some bombs aroundThe last guy did that and didn't accomplish anything. The evil has to be rooted out. It is not compatible with western civilization.

I agree with you. If we don't begin to dismantle permanently the infrastructure, they will be back with nukes or bio weapons. Getting one guy will do nothing.

Or even better these "Stallone wannabes" can follow my advise and head out for Afghanistan right now with a knife held between their teeth.

We have shortages of airplane parts among other things. We must start producing placing resources where we need them. It takes time. Lets do it right.

I dislike defending Powell, because I feel he failed us teriibly in Desert Storm, but I think maybe he might like to avenge his reputation.

It might not be a good idea taking Bin Lid-Head into custody, imagine all the focus on the U.S. that would give.... Better to let him rest in "pieces" where he is.

We want him to get away, we dont want them to hand boneladen over. Think of it as i gigantic fox hunt. Surrender of boneladen now would be a political coup for those who would want to continue terrorism operations against the US.

Yup, we've been cannibalized aircraft to keep the rest of the squadron flying. Sometime, a squadron down to 4 vs 12 like it should be... This is the reality folks...

Post 44: My sentiments exactly. If our response is knee-jerk and impulsive, we will not acheive our goals and will quickly lose support from other nations. When we start going after the dead man walking, his minions all over the world are very likely to rise up and rain terror wherever they can. Maybe this is why you see four thousand FBI agents fanning around the country detaining, arresting, executing search warrants.
Remember, this is NOT a war against a nation, but against a widespread regime! In addition, we need to build up supplies/troops/hardware in the region. This action must be carefully planned and executed surgically and precisely. I'm sure it won't take six months, but it does take some time to organize such an effort, I'm sure.
I think we have no choice right now but to have confidence in our leaders. This is not the time for self-appointed defense and foreign policy experts to second guess every breath taken in Washington. It seems this will be a difficult exercise considering that the current administration has apparently inherited a downscaled, underfunded military and a decimated intell program. Have we been caught with our collective pants down? It would seem so. Surely, all of us (excepting the ones wearing rose-colored glasses and "I love the former co-presidents" t-shirts) can be comforted that the current administration is leading this action, instead of the past one.
May G-d Bless America and lead us toward peace from these animals.

Follow the $$$$. We should confiscate all the funds and properites of all people and family members associated with and related to Bin Ladin and any cohorts. The Bin Ladin Family in Saudi Arabia should forfit their property and pay for this mess. Their Billions would make a dent in the bills of rebuilding. Also, if the $$$ of these people is gone, they won't get any more followers.... no more people running around America with $5,000 in their pockets.....cold hard cash is buying this terrorism....

Bin Ladin's Family "disowned "him, but the brother is living in Boston hmmmmmmm...also a relative owns several condo complexes in the region according to FOX TV NEWS...a handy place to accomodate "friends." We can't take chances and trust any of these people with obvious connections to this man. If we put a hold on their property, they might give up his locations or information just to save their $$$

Seeing that bin Laden is part of the Taliban, including him in the disappearance of the Taliban leadership makes sense.
Then, pass this message to the next terrorist-wannabe: Osama bin Laden and his sponsors had a little "accident" that rendered them completely incapable of violent thought. Do you need an "accident" to render you completely incapable of violent thought?
