FOX news just reported that the initial wave of military readiness by the United States has been named Operation Nobel Eagle.

I think your estimation of Bush is correct. He would rather see this through than be re-elected in 2004. In a little over 13 months mid-term elections will determine the make-up of the Congress. If there has been significant progress in the anti-terror war, the American people may elect large majorities which support the war effort. If this happens, I think President Bush finishes the job.
