In some areas here, we are organized by blocks and have block captains. All of the talents in the area are catalogued also. There are a lot of things that can be done.

The population here moves a lot, so we aren't as organized. Whoever is here when it happens is who we will be living with for quite a while.

That is something major that is usually missing from disaster preparedness. The fact that you can not do it on your own. You need to be in partnership with at least three or four other families. And one person (at least) should have medical training and one person should be knowledgeable about construction issues.
