Islamic theology requires that any Muslim who turns from Isalm and Mohammed should be killed. Period. Moderate American Muslims need to clearly denouce this aspect to their religion. Otherwise, their religion is incompatible with the United States Constitution. Ooh, EXCELLENT point!!

... and once they can qualify you as an "unbeliever" you are fair game. Sorry you don't like that.

I hope now it is clear that I'm not muslim, don't like Islam, don't defend Islam, and don't care if we blow them sky-high.

The Bible makes it clear that the temple will be rebuilt. I'll let God choose the time for this.

Yes. Very clear. Thank you.

I know he doesn't say to worship Mary, Catholics came up with that on their own. Catholics don't worship Mary, pal. We revere her as the mother of the Savior and ask her to pray for us.
The bigger problem is that the Koran, which is (according to Moslems) the absolutely perfect and inspired breath of God, virtually divinity between two covers, doesn't understand basic Christian theology, because it seems to teach that the Christian Trinity is God, Jesus, and Mary. You can tell me that God doesn't like Christian theology, but Islam expects me to believe that God doesn't even understand Christian theology!
I have a problem with that idea ...

Thankyou!! This was what I was trying to get across. You are much better with words than I. :)

Jesus is God.

... and once they can qualify you as an "unbeliever" you are fair game. Sorry you don't like that. This isn't about what I like or dislike, this is about distortions and outright lies. The Quran refers to Christians and Jews as "People of the book". They are NOT unbelievers.
That said, Muslims are just as guilty as any other religion when it comes to ignoring the words of their own Holy book. If you look at the excesses of the Taliban, it is clear that they are following a religion of their own invention. Islam can be intolerant enough without making crap up to justify murder and subjugation.

We SHOULD invade those countries, and we SHOULD kill their leaders, because they are the monsters behind murdering savages around the globe. The Christian faith, unlike Islam, is not one that can be forced on another, since it requires a very personal faith relationship with Christ. It wouldn't be a bad idea to try to convert them, though. Why? We should impose freedom on those countries so the Gospel (or anything else) can be read, discussed, preached without fear, and that any Moslem who accepts Christ no longer fears execution.

Yes, I noticed that too. I think they think that Mary is the Holy Ghost... or that the Holy Ghost inhabited Mary... or something, I can't tell exactly what.

Alas, no matter what the religion teaches about tolerence and love for all mankind, the followers have often gone through periods of intolerence, and violence against "unbelievers". There were times, not that long ago, when the different sects of Christianity were enthusiastically killing each other. The last example in my state was in 1654. Catholic vs Protestant, Christian vs Jew, Islam vs everybody, men will always manage to find a way to use religion as an excuse to commit the most Hellish deeds in God's name (but in their own interests). As a Christian, I can deplore this, but I am afraid I can't deny it. May God forgive us all, VietVet

The Quran refers to Christians and Jews as "People of the book". They are NOT unbelievers. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. There are verses that refer to People of the Book as only people of the "True" book (meaning the Koran.) Other times it refers to Jews and Christians as people of the book. In some places it says you shouldn't kill them, in others it sets them up to fit into a category in which you can. Like most religions, it's just ambiguous enough to befuddle and bedazzle and bemuse most people enough so that they get so lost in arguing out its contradictions that they never can step back long enough to see the whole thing for what it is.

I didn't know this. Can you give me some proof of this. Everyone tells me the Sunnis are peace loving, in spite of the koran.

Very true anybody can take words and twist them for their own purpose and glory. This is why knowing what the Bible and the koran truly teach is so important. If you have studied them then you can not be led astray by those whith their own agendas in mind.

Well, the Taliban are from the Pashtun ethnic group. They are Sunni.
There are three predominatly Shiite counties in the world: Iran, Iraq, and Bahrain. The leaders of Iraq are not Shiite Muslim, but the majority of the people are.
By the way, before the gulf war Saddam Hussain was not really a Muslim. His belief system was something called the Baith Party--a psuedo Islamic political belief system (I think, but I don't know much about that). Before the gulf war Iraq allowed Arabic Bibles to be freely printed in in their country. I know this is a bunny trial, but it just popped in my mind when I started typing.
