Wow, you got me. About 2/3 of the way through your post, I was starting to get a little warm from what I thought was a mild flame coming. Then, you put the hammer down and I understood.

BTW, thank you.

Who would've thought this thread would last 100 replies today? Thanks to all for keeping this civil and respectful. The issue is what the Koran says about murder and terrorism. Lady Heron, you've kept in on track as much as anyone. Thanks.

11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms

Exactly my point. In context these verses tell us to be firm in our faith by studying His word, and stand up to attack from evil forces.LOL

never take the Word of God there might be somebody who knows what it means.

Yes, but the part you quoted also says he said to worship his mother. THAT's what he never said.

Yes, I know, that's fine, but it's the "worship me" part that the Koran is specifically set against.

Jesus declared he was/is God and didn't reject being worshipped by his disciples, so you're correct on that score.

I know I'm correct on that score. My whole point on this thread is to tell you how Muslims justify qualifying Christians as "unbelievers" and therefore targets.

Moderate Muslims need to clearly make the case that as Americans they support the freedom of all people to choose their own religion. Do these moderates tolerate to the idea of individual Muslims deciding for themselves that Mohammed is not a prophet of God and speaking out about their beliefs?

Islamic theology requires that any Muslim who turns from Isalm and Mohammed should be killed. Period. Moderate American Muslims need to clearly denouce this aspect to their religion. Otherwise, their religion is incompatible with the United States Constitution.

Will I get much from Koran sites where I can read the Koran's call to hatred and murder of unbelievers along side the call to be kind to my "neighbors"?

Read post 96. Any Muslim who has read the Quran is going to have a difficult time justifying the murder of Christians.

Bin Laden is a Shiite Moslem frome a Sunni Country (Saudi Arabia.) Saudi Arabia rescinded his citizenship since 1988.

Wrong. Bin Laden is Sunni. The Taliban are Sunni. The Taliban are at war with the ethnic Hazaras in Afghanistan who are Shiite. Iran thinks the Taliban are nuts. Iran is Shiite.

Here's a comment:

YUSUFALI: From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.
PICKTHAL: And with those who say: "Lo! we are Christians," We made a covenant, but they forgot a part of that whereof they were admonished. Therefor We have stirred up enmity and hatred among them till the Day of Resurrection, when Allah will inform them of their handiwork.
SHAKIR: And with those who say, We are Christians, We made a covenant, but they neglected a portion of what they were reminded of, therefore We excited among them enmity and hatred to the day of resurrection; and Allah will inform them of what they did.

005.017 YUSUFALI: In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: "Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every - one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things."
PICKTHAL: They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah's is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is Able to do all things.
SHAKIR: Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely, Allah-- He is the Messiah, son of Marium. Say: Who then could control anything as against Allah when He wished to destroy the Messiah son of Marium and his mother and all those on the earth? And Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them; He creates what He pleases; and Allah has power over all things...

Jerusalem Mufti Arrested by Police for Incitement

(IsraelNationalNews.com) Police arrested the Jerusalem Grand Mufti for incitement following his calls to murder Jews in recent sermons delivered from the Jerusalem Temple Mount.
The Mufti also met with Hizbullah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah and has violated laws barring travel to an enemy nation.

Also questioned by police was the Mufti of PA-controlled Ramallah who was in Jerusalem without a permit. The two were released following questioning.

It's time to restore the Temple Mount to Israel.
Islam does not represent Almighty YHWH.

Now, who's word are you going to take about what the Koran teaches? Those Arabic sages who have studied it many many years in the original language and with all the historic commentaries, or some homogenized Readers Digest-type English simplification?

bingo
