"For now we are going to stop aggressively pushing our agenda and will cease bashing President Bush."
So they admit it!
But doesn't war hurt the environment, Mr. Wacko Environmentalist?
Uh...Only when we say it does, Timmy!

It is hard to tell if the Sierra Club is doing the right thing or the politically expedient thing. It is quite reasonable for any advocacy group to say, "Hey, the survival of the country is more important than our specific agenda. We should support the country and its President." I see nothing wrong with that. Time to put aside the differences, it is ONE country with ONE President.

The panic, wailing and gnashing of teeth on the left is incredble to behold. Never thought I would see it in my life time. They know the game is over for them. The world wide socialist network at
http://www.indymedia.org/ is in melt down mode.

Radical Marxist and Anarchist "Green" (read: "Red")
WTO-bashers are also implicitly aligned with the
WTC bombers.
Like it or not, this is true.

Which is why the far left is blaming it on the CIA and/or the Mossad. Those who run these environmental groups just lost their base. Trial lawyers who head the Sierra Club and other groups cannot buy into the paranoid conspiracy theories of their most ardent supporters.

Dear Editor (and, to anyone else reading this, please forward or copy/paste this IN ITS ENTIRETY and print it wherever you think it may help those poor folks who are suffering so much right now, and all of us, with them)
An Idea for the environmental groups!
I have an idea for the environmental NGO groups: with this terrible tragedy in NYC and WDC still unfolding, and so many facing huge expense (including child care, loss of income and potential loss of job) due to loved ones having died or among the missing, and trying to get there, and the staggering amount of burial expenses (transportation of remains back to home town plus burial), how about using the funds that (Nature Conservancy, Sierra Club, EarthFirst!, etc.) have available for litigation/protection of endangered species, and use at least a good part of that money to help our own human species, suffering so unspeakably from this?
I cannot imagine, surviving the horror with 100% burn coverage, or being trapped for days or even weeks in the shuddering, suffocating, groaning, dark wreckage, knowing that help is trying to get there, but that even the rescuers are in terrible danger.
We are quick to action, when logging threatens our trees, or owls, etc.
Let us be quick to action NOW, and offer ourselves to something far bigger than any opportunity we've ever had, to truly help our own kind.
Let's take this chance to help our neighbors, who could just as easily be US, or our own loved ones! Surely, when something of this horror and magnitude happens, we cannot ignore our chance to help!
Needed are: respiratory/painters masks, eyewash, socks, gloves, blankets, Vicks salve (to mask the smell of the recovered cadavers as the rescuers find them, or parts of them, by the THOUSANDS), disinfectant, bottled water, Gatorade and other sports drinks (but not soft drinks), sodas, picks, shovels, knee pads and so much more. Food and clothing are not needed in this situation.
How about it? Let's put our dollars where a truly ENDANGERED part of OUR HUMAN SPECIES REALLY NEEDS THEM!

Bring your toothbrushes and toiletry items and report to Sing Sing. Immediately. Then, we'll be satisfied that you're truly trying to help the nation. (I am NOT joking).

What an excellent idea. Greens have tremendous resources and could do a lot of good right now. This is a way for them to answer critics (like us) who say they put animals and plants before the needs of people.
To: LarryLied
If all resisters to the Bush political program were to follow this shameful exhibition by these green groups, we would see peace groups declining to protest against nuclear attacks on Iraq and armed invasion of Afghanistan. We would see civil rights sitting on their hands as racial and religious profiling is used to persecute people of Middle Eastern descent. Absolutely amazing. This is what we should see - people re-evaluating what they believe and re-ordering their priorities. Many sheeple follow blindly along with the politically correct agenda because they have been told that it is correct. Now the light is flickering on.

Frankly, as a staunch opponent of nearly everything the Sierra Club has been doing, it is quite heartening to see that there is yet a spark of the Spirit of America left within them.
It is easy to say "political expediency" and certainly there is plenty of that, but there are other groups (like the media) who still don't find themselves Americans first, whatever else second.
