It is hard to tell if the Sierra Club is doing the right thing or the politically expedient thing. It is quite reasonable for any advocacy group to say, "Hey, the survival of the country is more important than our specific agenda. We should support the country and its President." I see nothing wrong with that. Time to put aside the differences, it is ONE country with ONE President.

Time to put aside the differences, it is ONE country with ONE President. I think everyone is realizing that. We are all threatened now, we will stand united, if we have a country left, then we can go back to in-fighting later. I also believe the Arabs have underestimated us, they've been here thinking they got to know us, they misread our division. They thought we are weak and divided, but they miscalculated and we will prevail because we must.

Post # 3: Trouble is these groups seemed out to destroy America by blocking the right to drill for gas and oil anywhere in America or along our coasts. Demanding impossible emission standards for power plants, factories and every mode of transportation, and filing so many frivilous law suits against every attempt to build nuclear plants, until the expense of this moderately cheap source of power became unaffordable.
Those chickens just read the mood of American's after the attack, and realized that a majority were in no state of mind to humor the green's childish nonsense. THey will re-group and be back as anti-war protesters when they feel that conditions are in their favor.

"It is hard to tell if the Sierra Club is doing the right thing or the politically expedient thing. " It sounds like they're doing the politically expedient thing to me. Oh well, even if their motive isn't the best, it still brings about a positive result.
