To: the808bass
That's a turntable, right? I've heard of them. I work with a guy who's almost 50 and he tells me his Linn turntable is better than any CD player. But I've never heard a turntable. What are they like?

He's right the CD takes an average of the sounds available and actually filters out some of the barely detectable but richening sounds . LP's play everything, I just recently reserrected (no pun intended) my old turntable and played some of my 60's albums for the first time since the early 70's. It was quite a party. Only thing missing was the bong I grew out of in the late 70's

Actually, it's a drum machine. And Linn made some drum machines in the 80's that were very popular. The big bass sound in rap and hip hop comes from the TR-808 drum machine, thus the808bass.
