Let's get her bravery recognized with a civilian medal. She surreptiously called Ted hoping to give enough information to thwart this act, right to the very end of her life. Join me on this effort.

Here are a couple of photos I took at the White House Correspondent's Dinner this year in April.

A beautiful, elegant, brilliant woman, and a devestating loss to our country to lose her.

She was a great and modest person with a strong heart! She contributed a lot to FOX, more than any of the other channels realize. Thank you FOX and thank you Barbara. May God be with you and your family, and may you and your family be forever in his grip....

i lost it the first time i saw ted.Ted displayed great dignity and control. If I had lost a woman of this quality I would have been a blubbering mass, 24 / 7.

How fitting to have her Memorial Service at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, patron saint of Lawyers and Statesmen, who met his death with calm resolution. Her calm focus while facing imminent death marks Barbara Olson as a faithful spiritual daughter of St. Thomas. May she rest in peace.

Those who exhibited bravery in the face of terror and death had that Special Something that certainly should be recognized somehow...that includes those whose lives were taken, and those who willingly risked their lives after the attack to assist others.
I am completely overwhelmed and humbled beyond expression when I think of them.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Thanks for all you did for us in your all-too-short life.
May you rest in peace.

That hymn just sung was "Softly and Tenderly," an old Protestant hymn.

There is always the Orthodox Church which has some very very beautiful services and it has never changed.
