THE TASK will be most difficult for the loved ones of the 266 people on the four airliners that were crashed as part of an attack by unknown terrorists, and those unknown thousands of others who perished on the ground. It is they who must find a way to continue without a lovers caress, a parents advice, a friends laughter, a sister or brother whose interest was unwavering. Theirs is the loss that is most intimate, and it is they who will miss the tangible reality of those who have perished. They suddenly find themselves in a club they never knew existed and would not have wanted to join if they had the fraternity of those who experience the overwhelming grief of losing someone you love. IF ONLY... |

We wait and hope for answers, clarity, leadership. We may never find answers or clarity. What we can do is demand leadership. |
It is impossible for the bereaved not to examine ways in which their grief might have been avoided. What if the coffee shop had sent another deliveryman with muffins and bagels for those who worked in the World Trade Center? What if that compulsively punctual secretary had been late for work, if the broker had met with clients outside the office, if that firefighter or cop chose to sleep in that day. If only they had missed the plane, gone the day before, not gone at all. If only they had not lived the lives they did, we wonder, would these lost people still be here now? Yet this unavoidable, seductive game of what if cannot change what is. Beloved people who lived their lives as they desired or as was required are forever gone. The task is far less painful for those of us who do not know anyone who perished. Yet the very public and political nature of their deaths makes us all mourners and victims. As a nation, we must come to terms with how to respond and go on. VULNERABILITY AND VENGEANCE The cries for revenge and the vows of retribution began soon after the attacks, as politicians, pundits, and various experts flooded media outlets. As the afternoon of the attack progressed, declarations of grief and outrage were too often quickly followed by vows of vengeance. No one knew who would have to pay for this crime or how much, but still we were assured that someone would, as if an eye for an eye really works, as if retaliation will bring back either loved ones lost or Americas violated sense of invulnerability. |

![]() We are, most of us, still in shock. We wait and hope for answers, clarity, leadership. We may never find answers or clarity. What we can do is demand leadership. Not the leadership of politicians angling for pet projects like missile defense shields or casting about for somewhere to lay the blame and someone to wage war upon. We certainly dont need the leadership of Americas corporations and Oiltocracy, the defense contractors who stand to profit from military activity or the independent profiteers who capitalizing on our fears by gouging gas prices. Its up to the American people to take the high road and demand that our leaders join us. Revenge will not resolve the magnitude of this tragedy. Nothing does. We owe the dead and those who mourn them the tribute of our true, loving, compassionate selves, not the violent and vengeful other. Another of the moderator traitor crew creeps out of the dark cesspool to speak.
Disruptor piece of pig sh!t.
Don't step to me t!ttydrip, you'll go down. BAP
The islamic nations must go the way of Troy, Carthage, and Azteca.
We will be victorious, you will still be sh!t.
Perhaps it's time this author read Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, given Nov 19, 1863 on the battlefield near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA. I quote, in a small part:
".....that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain..that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom...and that the government of the people...by the people..for the people...shall not perish from the earth."

Put down the pipe, put down the bottle, change your panties, and listen up, dipsh!t.
The touchy feely 'everyone's opinion and belief is OK' world has ended and your ilk will have to deal with it.
The islamic nations must go the way of Troy, Carthage, and Azteca.
This is war, off brand busta's need not apply. You are not necessary.
Threat removed, you can go back to gazing into space wondering what if.
Hubby is going shooting tomorrow and wanted something to shoot at.
I've requested one with a nice big hole through the forehead to keep on the front of my refrigerator.
MKM
Liberal is another word for malcontent moron.
Ok, Mr/Mrs God Almighty. Please list the nations you wish to obliterate and give a small concise paragraph justifying the reasons for each.
You also might include some of your own personal qualifications that enable you to make such learned decisions.
The islamic nations must go the way of Troy, Carthage, and Azteca.
Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are a good start.
How would you fix things up? Talk? Money? Aid?
Should we just roll over and wait for the next one? Huh? What's your answer BAP?
Sheet, go back to uni.
By the way, if you pig turd friends in the taliban win,
you will no longer be able to supplement you income standing on the corner yelling "Yo, yo. Want a date, hombre?"
As sharia procludes those activities.
Go back to the dope man and chill.
Carpet bombing has the same effect...
The meek shall inherit the earth... Usually about 6' x 3' x 6' at a time...

With all the respect due to a fellow American, I say F*ck You! You scare me more than the terrorists. You think you can surgically cauterize a good chunk of the world and it is not going to have dreadful repercussions? You think you can correct a religious/racial struggle that has been going on for 3000 years with some nukes?
The world, its opinions, its alliances, its balance does not permit such a thing. Its too interwoven! Every brother has his brother.
And if this country were to do what you propose, that would be the end of my allegence to it. You advocate genocide over justice.
You've run out of righteousness when you speak of genocide and you've become a TERRORIST YOURSELF.
You even speaking this way endangers me and this country.
At the Battle of Zama, the Roman cavalry quickly routed the Carthaginian cavalry and then attacked the rear of their infantry.
The result was the slaughter of Hannibal's army.
Although Hannibal escaped, 20,000 Carthaginians died and 15,000 became prisoners.
The Romans suffered minimal losses numbering around 1,500.
With the defeat of Hannibal's army, Carthage was forced to sue for peace and to accept Scipio's terms.
Carthage handed over all warships and elephants, agreed not to make war without permission of Rome, and agreed to pay Rome
10,000 talents over the next 50 years.
Carthage was never again a major threat to Rome.
The islamic nations must go the way of Troy, Carthage, and Azteca.
If you must apologize for the acts of terrorist cowards step to it. Come out in the clear BAP.
This isn't about failed political nonsense. These bastards attacked the civilized world and yet you still engage and try to fright me with the failed philosophies of the gelded socialist sociologists.
Coward, do the world a favor check into the nearest mental health facility for the duration.
Let's hope the leaders of their countries make the right decision. They will either help us in our war against Jihad or they will be part of the Jihad. If there are good Moslems, they will certainly want to see the satanic sects destroyed just because of this kind of thing. They say they are for peace and freedom, it's now time to prove it. The line between good and evil is clearly drawn and it wasn't drawn by us.
The islamic nations must go the way of Troy, Carthage, and Azteca.
This isn't about failed political nonsense. These bastards attacked the civilized world, no getting around that is there?
It is unfortunate that years of indoctrination and traing by the gelded socialist sociologists has reduced your mental facilites to the point where any diviation from the expected causes you to get stuck in a logic loop.
You seem to think that an argument can be won by name calling, i.e. "advocating genocide"
Oh, I get it, I realize now what going on,
in the 'old' PC world, simply your mention of a sacred "evil" word such as genocide should have caused me to 're-evaluate' my beliefs.
Eat Sh!t wack a$$ doper.
This is war. Off brand busta's need not apply. Go run to mama, Barney, hitlery, wah wah wah, they figured us out.
Go on now run. BOO!
Victory will be ours. Woof Woof.
Is this supposed to intimidate me? Are all people who oppose a multi-country nuclear Islamic genocide now 'apologists for terrorism'?
How come I didn't make the 'traitor' list?
Maybe your plan is a good one, can you describe the repercussions you anticipate? How many hours have you put into this aspect of your analysis? Can you give an estimate of the number of lives you will be extinguishing and the number that will be lost in retaliatory actions?
What is your estimate of the chains of dissent? What is your plan for those countries who lend humanitarian aid to the refugees of your nuclear annihilation?
You, not I, are the madman. You, not I, are the coward too. Maybe I didnt make the 'traitor' list, but you are a traitor to the human race.
When confronted with wild dogs and savages, the gelded socialist sociologists teach that it is best to put up a big fence, hide your belongings, cover your eyes, and try to understand them.
Your socialist world is over and the truth will reign.
The islamic nations must go the way of Troy, Carthage, and Azteca.
