OUTRAGE! Barbara Lee - D, (Berkley/Oakland,CA ) is ONLY "NO" Vote on Use of Force Bill just passed
CSPAN- Congress ^ | 14 SEP 01 (T+4) | DCBryan1

Posted on 09/14/2001 8:48:38 PM PDT by DCBryan1

Barbara Lee just became the only dissinting voter in the USE OF FORCE RESOLUTION in the House....Senate passed 98-0, House passed with only ONE (1) "No" Vote....time to recall this traitor!

This is reminisant of the only NO VOTE from the 8 DEC 1941 Declaration of War vote.

So is Barbara Lee now saying that the Oakland/Berkley, CA are is against our national survival and self defense?

It was a Congresswoman from Montana who voted no back in 1941. Hon. Jeanette Rankin

in 1941. I think the statement by that individual was "no nation should ever vote unanimously to delcare war"

Somehow I doubt she has the honor to vote no for that reason.

Farr is a crap liberal from Leon Panetta's old CD here in California. Sanchez, I don't know.

Let's remember that just because they don't vote doesn't mean they are traitors. They just ought to have a DAMN GOOD excuse!!!!

I can't resist posting this response from one of our founding fathers to this thread too...

"Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say,
'What should be the reward of such sacrifices?' Bid us and our
posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship, and plough, and
sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us
the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the
earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of
servitude than the animating contest of freedom, go from us in peace.
We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which
feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity
forget that ye were our countrymen!" --Samuel Adams

If any of her constituents are here, will you please forward it to her? Thanks.

Ok so here was my little convo with the secretary:

Sec. claimed she didn't vote for it because she didn't agree with the resolution, saying something like she didn't want it becoming another vietnam or some crap.

I was so straightforward "Is this the congresswoman who didn't vote to use military force??"

"This is her office...how can I help you, sir?"

"Um yeah....doesn't she think we should get revenge for what happened?"

Sec:" She believes it will be another Vietnam like situation and we will not get out of it for 10 years and hundreds of thousands of lives will be lost."

That was it! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSER!!!!

It was Jeanette Rankin, from Missoula, MT. She may have voted against war for both WWI and WWII. There is a memorial to her near the U of Montana heralding her brave vote(s). I went to grad school there. I never did understand why that action merited a memorial.

If its Congresswoman Wilson, she is a distinguished veteran and (I think) graduate of the Air Force Academy. If its her, I suppose for some reason she was not in Washington.

I'm sure after redistricting, that those Autoworkers downriver who will have Conyors will want to know WhereTF he was.

And maybe Detroit for that matter. I think his new district will be 52% black. With a guy like Conyors, the whites many vote lockstep and switch parties with a strong candidate. Downriver hates him.

Kilpatrick is safe. She isn't as divisive as Conyors. She's a jackass in her votes, nothing personal. Not like John Boy.

I think she is a traitor. Now, what are we going to do. I propose forming a Political Action Committee right now to begin raising money and finding opposition to this seditious "congresswoman". Anyone interested in finding her opposition and/or working on this project, email me.
