I'm sorry I can't reveal the source of these tips at this time, but I'm sure most FReepers would understand.
The following are tips I recieved. I would not post these on any other site but FR, knowing that only FReepers could properly interpret them:
1) Go to your local phone directory and look up and write down (on a wallet sized business card) the numbers to your local FBI, CIA, and Police Dept. (not 911, the regular phone number). If you call these offices they will give you any special numbers to call during the crisis, write them down as well.
2) Keep this in your wallet and/or code it into your cell phone.
3) Here's the hard part. Keep your eyes and ears open. Don't get overly paranoid and use your God given good judgement, but stay alert. If you see or hear anything, and I mean anything, that YOU think is suspicious call the numbers. All the numbers if you have to. Tell the person answering your call whom you have already contacted and the information you have.
We now know that the enemy is HERE, among us. If we all band together we can help gather information that will defeat these bastards. The source that gave me this information related several instances where a citizen has nailed a would be terrorist in just this fashion. You may remain anonymous if you like.
A good example: When driving and you see a team of men "working" on a bridge look around for a marked truck, look at the men carefully. If something doesn't look right to you, chances are it isn't. Call!!
Be very aware in public places such as Malls and other busy places. If you see something that looks fishey, chances are you're right. Notify security and most important, CALL!
The reason I wouldn't post this anywhere else is that I consider FReepers to be among the more intelligent and more purdent than some others in our country. Therefore, I think we can do this with a minimum of mistakes. If we are 40K strong here at FR than that makes 80K more eyes and ears to help with war time intell.
Don't flame me for posting this. If they are lurking out there then it's time they know that we're watching. They'll be laughing out their Clymers soon!
